Looks fantastic. I still don't know how the line work is done though. If it's hand-drawn then vectorized or actually done with a graphics tablet.
Beautiful color! That was also my fave facial expression out of the sketches you posted before. The body shape looks a little odd for my taste, I like it better when you do more realistic "sexy" bodies, but the face is perfect.
I thought the lines were going to be taken out, no?
yes please!!! I'm ready for it!!!
Hey John, I'm ready for Sody!!!!!
Sody Pop can rot my teeth anytime any day any way...yong, yong, yong!To draw a cartoon (not an illustration) so sexy and still be funny, such an achievement
Is this the Sody in the new Rakatu web ad? Oo-oo-oo-oo this ought to be real ultra-good!
does she have garlic for breasts?
Looks great John! Are going to put pupils on the baby blues?
I'm loving the picture, cartoony-sexy girls are an interesting subject. I want to watch her ALIVE and BREATHING and JUMPING and, I don't know, I want her being a cartoon SOON. There's not enough Sody in the World yet, you should fill it with her.SOMETHING ELSE: I like Ren & Stimpy designs a lot, as you know, both of them are great characters. Do you have something as the first sketches of your characters?, it should be nice to see their evolution from the start, from the first genuine doodles. The birth of Jimmy the Idiot Boy for example.
Aw, who wouldn't want a Sody Pop like that?Cartoony can be sexy!
Who doesn't want Sody? Even if she does have a retard fetish.
Who wouldn't want her? Bring it on John!
I'm glad she's back!
Aww man, I was gunna do the "Who WOULDN'T want Sody" comment but I was beaten to it. Three times.Very awesome picture! It has me salivating for more Sody Pop!
Of course we want Sody John! This chick looks great by the way.
Were those lines drawn in flash? Oh wiat, I see someone else asked the same question-
The world needs more Sody Pop!
Her garlic breasts are wonderful.John, I love your blog. Please let it continue forever, especially with all the great informative/educational posts. Wonderful!
john, i know this is off the subject, but i'm wondering, what do think of bill waterson (calvin and hobbes)
Looks nice! I wasn't expecting so much of it to be color-traced when I was looking at the pencilled sketches. What do you think of colored outlines in comparison to black outlines?
does sody need a place to sit? (i've got a few ideas.) sody's never looked better! can you remake Snow White, starring Sody, please? i'd love to see what dwarves you'd come up with.
Vehri niiiice.*thumbs up*
I can hardly wait!
i want to see it now!!!
Things looking good. Can't wait to see what Jesus 2447238 looks like. I think it will be a hit for Raketu. They will be thanking you, and kiss your hand like the cartoon Godfather, that you are. You made them an offer they don't refuse.
It's real cool that you can make your drawing look digital and still look like the original. I'm still learning Flash.
What a question!! i can't hardly wait!aahehehehohhaoehhahhihiahah garlic breasts:Dthe last two posts were great!! i loved the comic, very funny, it gave me the kiddie chuckles
Wow, I've NEVER seen that style done properly before. More!
I like the George one too! Actually though, I'd like it more if her head piece were a purply gray. There's my 1 cent.
Talk about different theories for drawing George Liquor, Stimpy, and Ren!
and i do
Hi, JohnI posted some early Milt Stein art at http://potulentpalaver.blogspot.com/Warning: this is REALLY early Milt Stein, so it's extremely "primitive" Rubber hose style, but strangely compelling - He's actually following a lot of the basic lessons you're teaching on these pages!PS: That's a great drawing of Sody - There's a lot of subtle anatomy going on in there - Wow! Glad I don't have to animate it!
Bring on the Sody!!
Luv it! Yup - I need more Sody Pop. I'm totally retarded about your cartoons, John.
John, I so badly want to work with you!!!!!!! Oh yea, these are great as always by the way!
John, i hope you detail more often what exactly does the studio do in the future. They clean up and assemble stuff, but they don't do much drawing, do they? It seems you draw so many key frames that there's not much space for them to fill in, or am i wrong?
