this is a random question about Ren & Stimpy. As a kid I only had access to a VHS tape that had recorded episodes from The Ren and Stimpy marathon that was on MTV...I think.
Anyways, as a kid I distinctly rembember these two hilarious things in "Big Baby Scam". 1) the ultra close-up of Ren getting his face rubbed against the dad's facial stubble. 2) when the dad hands Ren and Stimpy to Grandpa in the bathtab, he starts whistling to them in a really awkward and creepy way.
I'd be very curious to see that construction. Adapting works not designed for animation can often be very hit and miss and I'd love to see your take on it.
Your lessons are very good, John. Between reading your theories and reading Preston Blair, I think I'm improving my 2D animation skills. Keep posting lessons
could you give the link to the gross animation you said you posted before ? If you type this link into the address bar, you'll find both of the two Milt Gross MGM cartoons, along with some other clips (there's even a Gross comic) http://klangley.blogspot.com/search?q=Milt+Gross

Interested!? You bet! I've always wondered about that!
I'm interested in any posts on construction you have in mind.
Hmmm, looks like I'm the only one who is interested.
With time and effort, it would be a wonderful read from you, as usual.
Is that enough to encourage you?

These two scenes are not on the DVD! How come so?
yessir
I'd be curious to see what your take on it is. But finish the double bounce thing first.
As much Milt Gross stuff we can get and you can supply, please give it.
Simply funny stuff.
milt gross construction lecture sounds awesome!!!!
"I was thinking of doing a post on how to construct Milt Gross for animation, because of Pete's comment"
Yeah!
Off topic but, I was reminded of you and your art when designing/carving this pumpkin. Behold, Spumpkticus, the Kirk Douglas-O-Lantern!

Constructing Milt Gross? I know his later stuff was constructed, but his early stuff?
This'll be interesting for sure. I can't wait!
Interested on both accounts!
If you're looking for popular topics, a while back you showed interest in doing a post about your theories on eyes. I still wanna see that!
