My Reel

Well I figured it was time to put a reel up on a blog.

Marc put together some of my music videos to start with.

I think I will put up a bio on Saturday, so check it out.

thanks for using Quicktime, you can pause freezeframe, etc and dig all the poses. Classico had more stuff than I even knew!

Hi John

I'm shamelessly reminding you that we're still in LA until Tuesday. Could you spare some time before we have to go back to our barren frigid wasteland?...I'll keep checking my email joshheisie@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Hey, John, the fruit of your loins made the election headlines.

Message for Mr Kricfalusi: My apologies for intruding. I'm a writer for a UK animation print magazine, 'Imagine' ( www.imagineanimation.net ). We're hoping to run an article about you and your work, and we wondered if we could request any images from your animation. If that's possible, or if you need more information from us, my email is andrew_osmond53@hotmail.co.uk Many thanks, and sorry again for barging in here.

Ahh--at LAST! I've been wanting to download a good copy of your Weird Al cartoon ever since I saw it that day you came by Cartoon Network to screen it. I never get tired of watching all that fantastically-silly dancing and posing. If you ever put together a DVD collection of your various shorts and commercials, I'll be the first to buy one!

Thanks a lot, John...and keep those Korea notes coming...they are great reminders for me to keep my stuff fresh and cliche-free.

Fantastic stuff, The Weird Al one just keeps blowing my mind in a very funny and sexy way.
Thanks for sharing!

I remember that Tenacious D intro looked FANTASTIC on the movie screen. I haven't seen the movie since it was out in theatres last year - so thanks for including that in your reel!

Ahh, the "I Miss You" Bjork video. Bjork looked perfectly beautiful in that video, both in the flesh and as a cartoon. I think a live-action girl changing into a cartoon (or vice-versa) is very sexy. I also love the cute black girl in the Harlem Shuffle video who became real.

John K., I think the next time you do a music video (which hopefully will be soon), it should feature an impossibly cute young woman in bothe animated and live-action guises. Maybe make a TV or web series and/or movie with that concept. I know Cool World did that thing, and Disney's new film "Echanted" did as well, but you could take it to a new level, John.

Your friend who finds cute girls who cosplay as cartoony characters uber-attractive (I'm know I'm unique), John P.

all awesome stuff! (blogger video takes a while to load though for me) i'm not trying to be an ass so don't read on if you weren't looking for opinions... otherwise here's my reaction to your reel:

i'd avoid the adult stuff on a reel, and show more Ren and Stimpy, (maybe featuring mr horse from adult party ren and stimpy, and a retro commercial from R&S)... also i would totally show some yogi bear to show how you masterfully handle established characters and make them modern without f-ing them up. i think classico is the best tenacious D, so maybe cut the other ones?

I always wondered, who all did drawings for "I miss You"? The different renditions are great!

John, you and your team draw the best damn furry art this side of Robert Crumb. That image of the slovenly octopus and the sexy female duck made me laugh even in still form.
