Wally Man, YAAY! I've wanted to see more from Wally ever since I read the stories over at the Pitchblog.Actually, ever since I saw his picture on the now-defunct spumco.com, I've wondered about this little nudist. Also, I saw the demo for He-Hog over at Jim's Blog, and am curious why you never tried to pitch it again. I'm sure Mike Lazzo could be convinced to up the quality on [adult swim] and order twenty four episodes of He-Hog.... after all, he bought 'Squidbillies'.... Thought it was great, as usual!- trevor.
It's a good design from the drawings, but something weird's going on with his chin. His lips don't have enough surface contrast to really read as a mouth. I had to see the drawings to figure out what that was. The chin looks great, but it just looks like a set of balls under his nose until you figure out just what it is.
That is one disgusting toy.http://www.flickr.com/photos/krisfalusi/2432560370/Greetings from Toronto. karen
skintastic!i'm with you trevor, WM is a cartoon superstar
Toy factory!Great stuff.
hey john about the wally man pitch, episode: wally the metrosexual. maybe you've already solved this, but after wally ends up with his flesh cracking off like potato chips and is to show up at Petunia's, i really liked this guy's idea...http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/2006/06/wally-man-3-some-story-ideas.htmlJason White said... ending idea...The devastated Wally stands at Petunia's doorstep, sobbing and trying to re-attach scabs, above him, on the roof, is Billy Chicken with a medievil pot of molten lava, poised to dump it on Wally. The moment Wally hits the doorbell, Billy dumps the lava load on Wally, which completely cleanses his skin and melts away only the blemishes, so when Petunia opens the door he is sparkling and smooth. She hugs him and notices all the dried up lava and skin chunks on the ground. Wally says "thumb one kwapped in yowa yodd" (someone crapped in your yard). Then Billy Chicken says something like "curses!", then Wally and Petunia look up and Wally says "The thicken kwapped in yowa yodd.it seems pretty fitting to your story with a classic cartoon ending of the goof in deep shit getting everything to work out ok in the last split second...! you could even have Billy the Evil Chicken in the closing scene on the table with a roasted body (still with an alive head grumbling) for their hot dinner date! butt-pussy:if you desired, you could even make a whole SEPARATE episode on the Achille's Butt-Pussy, themed in mythic times, or whenever desired. i really hope this cartoon of wally n' billy comes to fruition! good luck
just awesome, thats only what I can say
I like it... except for the ears. They just seem so distracting way up high on his head. Ren with big ears - yes.Wally Man - no.
Woooww!!!! I want! I want!
These are great toys John. I can't wait for the release. On an unrelated topic, I just finished reading "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck". That was a wonderful read and greatest graphic novel ever. I am shocked you don't like Rosa or Barks' stories. Worst of all, I can't belive you think Carl Barks dosen't write complex stories. The whole concept of the money bin itself is fairly complex on it's own. I think I might do a review of this novel on my blog.
Eddie: Not until you clean your room mister !
Yay, it's Wally!!Sitting on top of the AUSTRALIAN R&S DVD? Who sent you that, John? You should see what they did to the UK version!
i personally like his big ears at the top of his skull...it reinforces his dopeyness.
John: GENIUS SCULPT. Wally Man is my favourite of your characters and shows, even better than Ren & Stimpy. The slogan for your toys could be something like "Man up your toy collection!"PC: What's a graphic novel?
Wally supports Spumco-penned Ren and Stimpy.- trevor.
inspirational! and aaaargh! gives such a fuzzy feeling of believing at the power of good over the evil!dreamy shapes in all your characters make believe for a world of magic and fun. escapism at it's best!(...now this took all my courage and the self loathing is captured under the bowl of pop corn..but:)if you ever have time /interest could you would you say hello to my characters?http://animanimation.blogspot.com/ the first one (modo) is hopefully growing to be a tv series of it's own soon. and thanks for this blog. it gives hope for the lost & disappointed animation factory workers. x-v.
"PC: What's a graphic novel?"Just a fancy word for a comic book that is long.
