LOL to both...I was kind of hoping for a more Slim Pickens in Strangelove feel to the McCain design but still, going for him as a demented senior Rambo is pretty cool. Especially when you consider that Sly Stallone actually portrayed a demented senior Rambo recently, and endorsed McCain if memory serves. :-)
I love how you did Obama. You got the gangliness and the ears perfectly. Obama's a smooth guy but there's something a little geeky about him too, with the too long legs and arms and the big ears.
You might want to consider "squishy" hand exerciser versions of the characters as well as the chew toy versions.
I also suggested to Jim that the next characters you do should be Steve Jobs of Apple and Steve Ballmer of Microsoft. That way, you can make squishy hand-exerciser toys for getting out your Mac OS X and Windows frustrations respectively. Got a Mac OS X Kernel Panic? Throttle your Steve Jobs. BSOD "Stop Error" again? Squish your Steve Ballmer. Squishy balls and squishy other things are safe enough to hurl at your computer monitor if you so desire.

These are surprisingly simple-looking color keys. I would have guessed you would go for the painterly approach, John.
