Glad to see more Sody, she is so damn appealing and fun to watch. I love her back story and how she is always trying to corrupt Jimmy with her ungodly urges. George, Sody and Jimmy are the perfect combo especially with Slab and Ernie hanging around. Genius. Argh can't wait for a Goddam George Liquor Cartoon!!!!
Are you gonna have to tone down any elements of the George liquor program for the network your airing it on? (you could pretty much do whatever you wanted on spike, but I don't know if this'll be the same case)
it's not just boys that love tits :D I always loved Sody, She made me the chick I am today. The one where you can see her ribs and sternum is a little unusual though, and a little disturbing. but such a great collection to see all together - ah memories!
Ha HA! I love how Tool talks about the "repulsiveness" of these drawings as though he were the first to discover it. John has had to put up with comments like this definitely since the debut of Ren & Stimpy back in 1991. And, I think this flack might even go as far back as the late '70's when he was studying at Sheridan College. There's no way to explain the appeal of John's particular style of composition. You either like it or you don't. It might be too graphic for some people, but for me that's part of the fun.
I like the Sody from the online GDGLP best. Her proportions are cutest and cartooniest, and she looks younger. Somehow the streamling and cartoonieness makes her even sexier than the slightly more detailed and more "realistic drawings.
Nice drawings, but Sody Pop is kind of an unappealing character. Not her appearance, but she's pretty slutty. It's hard to like and respect girls like that.
But I'm sure she'll get a good job as a Hooters Waitress when she grows up.
Sody is definitely hot, hot, hot and she is absolutely fun to draw. A character with lots of life, knows how to have a good time, loves her man, even if he is an unobtainable idiot and is comfortable with her sexuality. Truly a wondrous comic creation. There's nothing mysterious or complicated about her, the audience "gets" her immediately.
I'm also looking forward to the post you promised soon on inking. And when you write it, I hope you'll answer this dumb question: how do the inkers get those extremely tapered lines, like where it gets very thick under George's chin? Is that a single stroke, or do they make outlines and fill them in with black?
When a guy (who isn't gay) complains about attractive tits being repulsive, it's really just an act to fool girls into believing that they're sensitive so that they can get to play with their tits later.
It works sometimes too! The phonyness will haunt you though.
It's about time you posted Sody stuff. I loved her in the Elwy and Tree Weasel's ep of Mighty Mouse.
By the way. Why do creators always pair beautiful girls with goofy lookin' loser guys? You people know girls don't tolerate that shit in real life. Is it just a dynamic that is just part of the comedy genre or what?
Sody is adorable! She's a wonderful example of how to make a cartoon character attractive and funny simultaneously (a quality which should be more common in art and animation, in my opinion. I honestly see more real girls who more accurately fit that description than I do cartoon characters!).

I've been eagerly awaiting this post - can't wait to get round to drawing her!
There's something almost feline about her in the third one down...
John, Fantastic images!!!
Thanks!

A lot of those drawings are repulsive. Is that intentional, with the little anatomical details and the proportions?
John, are we ever going to be able to see those old flash cartoons from the Spumco sight again?
Will they be included on this upcoming George Liquor release?
How about Weekend Pussy Hunt?
How come her tits are always hanging out?
I remember drawing Sody from that same online episode back when I was in middle school memories!
Because...hang on to your hat for this surprise news....
Boys like tits

I guess it's just like that disgusting close up thing from before you do it to that character all the time.
Here's to tits!

She sure is purdy. John's right, I LOVE TITS, titties make me woody.
"A lot of those drawings are repulsive. Is that intentional, with the little anatomical details and the proportions?"
Yeah. It's called a 'cartoon', tool. Apt name you have there.
by the way, there's something really odd about the 2nd piture.
What were you going for, john?

Right you are John.
SHAME SHAME SHAME.

Oh, and I {heart} boobs as well.

Oh man, i sound so perv.
The simpler drawings of her are the best ones to me. Something odd happens with the hands in the number 3...
Anyway, great drawings.
Best regards,
A little God's creature who recognize their place in the grand order of things.

What's wrong with tits??
Can't say I have much of a complaint, and hell, I'm not even a man, nor do I prefer women.
Maybe it's my sense of humor, or maybe I'm just the opposite of prude, but I love these drawings, John.
Here's to hot cartoon chicks and the boners that they create.

Thanks for all these models.

Also, what tools are recommended?
isn't she 15 or something
same age as Betty and Veronica
cartoon age
Boys like tits"
Hey ! I don't like tits ! Wait, that means.............
Oh boy, I think I am going to have to have a long talk with my folks.
pcunfunny ftw!
The colorized one with the green background is stunning. It might be the best of the lot.

Here are some of my first attempts at Sody and here it's an inking attempt

HA HA! Man! I thought everyone knew that!
John-Speaking of tits, you've never shown us "Mildrew" George Liqours lady friend with the chest rockets!

John, eres un genio, adoro tu dibujos, tanto que quiero tatuarme a Sody. Lástima que hayan tan pocos.
Te mando un saludo desde Colombia! :)
