With a Demcrat House and Senate, Obama will be be able to do more than "hope"... God forbid.
those are so cool.
are they for sale anywhere or just a fun project?
Are these for sale? if so... where?
They will be for sale. Keep posted and I will anounce where to get them.
I think the Obama one is going to sell 3x as fast as the others- awesome work!
They are great! So detailed!
I would buy them! I could use some hope.
I can't wait to get my filthy hands on these toys!
The mottled skin on MaveriCain is an excellent touch. And the packages are teh awesome.
Can't wait to try to buy them.
these are amazing sculptures.
My favourite toy/candidate is/was Hillary. Her head reminds me of Time For Beany. I love the colours, especially on her face and hair. The use of sharp angles in 3D reminded me of Madagascar.
I feel you were too easy on John McCain, as you made him look like a thinking human being. But a great depiction no matter how much stupider he is in real life.
Barack Obama? Eh, I like the guy, but I'd rather give money to you for these toys of him than to his campaign, what with his recent flip-flops on FISA and public financing.
You should do a series on TV News Rage-a-holics. Colbert, O'Reilly, Cafferty and my favourite newsman, Keith Olbermann.
I'll buy a Hilary and a Barrack.
the look GREAT! i know im gonna buy em'but DOES THE TENACIOUS D TOYS ARE GONNA BE ON SALE TOO?
good luck on your new toy line!
So cool : )
Are this by John Kricfalusi, most commonly known for his Ren and Stimpy creation?
...wait a second...
Is McCain's ass detachable from the missile?
WHEN???? WHEN????? WHEN!!!!!!!!!
Oh man, they are so funny and the best damn packaging between Alaska and Key West. Wow, McCain has got Jimmy, Wally and Sody on the box! Yay! Super Fun Time On The Red State Blue Coat Bus - don't get thrown under it kids! - hooray!
These are sweet!
I especially love the liver spots on McCain! Excellent detail!
Can't wait for these to go up for sale!
- trevor.
these are amazing!
love the packages too ^_^
I don't like how you potrayed white people in these toys. Especially the black white guy. You racist!
Tone down the features and maybe I'll buy one. Maybe you should make them look all anime, like Boondocks! That would be swiggity sa-weet yo!
Seriously though, they look awesome. I hope you can get them on the shelves soon.
I look forward to collecting the whole set!
I was telling Jim that the next target should be Steve Jobs and Steve Ballmer. Steve Jobs would be for people who want to take out their Mac frustrations, and Steve Ballmer would be for people who want to take out their Windows frustrations.
Steve Jobs should have his "uniform" of Black Turtleneck and jeans on, and have a latte in one hand and an iPhone or reasonable facsimile in another. He should have a blissed-out expression on his face.
Steve Ballmer should be in full bellow...watch the "Dance Monkeyboy" video to get a feel for what I mean. He should be holding a broken chair, because Ballmer is known for breaking furniture at Microsoft, particularly when Google does something to annoy him.
Alternately these two could be done in foam-rubber "squishy ball" material, with a coating of vinyl over it. Actually the "squishy ball" treatment would have been good for Obama, Clinton and McCain as well, so you can throttle them at will.
I have a squishy LAPD police car that I tend to throttle when the helicopters fly too low and wake me up. Ironically it was a SWAG item I got...from the LAPD.
Woot. Can't wait to get a set of those. Hope you got a fast boat from China lined up!
can you say, "COLLECTOR'S ITEMS"!!!!!
making history once again with political merchandising!
hopefully you'll have these ready in time for the conventions, they'd sell like crazy there! i'd like to have a little cart selling these outside of the conventions, damn everyone would be getting them!
i love the mccain face paint job... man i really wish there was a Ron Paul one, though. Ron Paul and Hilary were the only real men running this year!
I think celebs in general (as well as politicians) could use a bit of being poked-at via caricature.
I'd love to see Paris and Brittany figures, a raging Russel Crowe or Mel Gibson, plus all of those media types. Maybe some legal problems with likenesses?
I want them ALL! Excellent job you guys!
These are fantastic.
These are a roit!
I like the Obama box..it pretty much sums up his entire act.
Empty pretty sounding words like Hope, change,Wish.
As they say wish in one hand and well you know...
That bottom photo of Hillarys head chopped off brightened my day..was there any caramel corn in it?
These toys are priceless. I love that McCain one. Another great idea would be to have McCain come with a Vitenamese prison camp toture fun set.
These are excellent. I want to buy a Barack figure for my mum!
The best of luck with these. I hope the Barack toy is a best-seller!

I posted this on digg to help generate interest. lets try to get this on the front page.
what trips me out is Hillary has the same figure as my mom... at least according to you she does.. lol
Happiness!
The very best part of this whole thing is the xmas picture with all the animals. Primarily the wombat and platypus are genius.
Wow, this has to be the greatest year of my life. Batman, Indy, turning 21, being here in Panama, George Liquor in October, and James Bond in November. I have had one too many joy-gasms.
I'm gonna pre-order an Obama and/or Hilary RIGHT NOW! I still need to choose. But first, how much do they cost?
sweet, sweet liquor
This could not be more exciting!
I haven't seen toys this well-made since the last time YOU made toys! Can't wait for these to be available for purchase.
Great job, John.
I would like to have all of them! Including the Tenacious D toys! Speaking of which, where could we buy these?
John, you do great work. If only there was a Ron Paul figure, then I'd buy for sure!
HAHAHAHHAHA amazing.
those package colors are sick!!!!
Sorry baby, but those sculptures don't do the drawings justice, old shitwad Rudy here again...
way to go!!!! and I really enjoy the wb retakes
Some more inking. Am I getting a little better?
Are these figures poseable? Do they have any joints?
Obama looks like he has arm joints but I can't tell.
Please answer soon!
Hey John!
I've been helping Amid with his project and in so do I've found your Preston Blair lessons from May 2006.
HOW DID I MISS THESE????
So starting last Thursday I put it upon myself to work on the assignments every day. I'm posting my scrawlings regularly on my blog named "Magic Nose Goblins."
-jake
p.s. - R&S made me a man.
Hot Damn, I want em all!!!!!! They turned out amazing.
It's like I just saw an episode.
WOW.
Hey John - the toys looks awesome! Great job! I'll be getting a couple when the time comes. Tenacious D, too.
I wrote to the email address, but didn't get a response. How is the pre-ordering going to work?
Will you be making a Sarah Palin doll?
The Super Palin dolls that have just been released are not as good as yours.
How about here holding a bazooka and hockey stick.
any other ideas...?
Hi John,
I am interested in converting one of your comic stories to 3D (the kind of 3D that you view with red/cyan glasses). This would be done at my expense, and I would be able to show you the work in progress to ensure that you are happy with the results. I am interested in using the final piece (a page or one of the panels) as a folio piece for my 3D production studio: 3Dimages.com.au.
The comic book I'd like to convert is "The Turtle Food Collector" (featuring Johnny the Idiot Boy).
I think that covers the basics. I can provide you with more info if you are interested or OK with the idea.
Look forward to hearing from you.
My Set of Three arrived last week! I believe that they are the ultimate collectors items of 2008.
One thing for sure, they will be the only ones in French Polynesia and they will NOT be for sale.
Thanks John, they're better than excellent!
Bravo Zulu!
