These nice covers have everything I talk about that adds up to good cartoon basics. I like the perspective in the top cover. Note the feet. Te head is cheated a bit so you can see the fox's expression.
I almost did not read that the table had been turned into Stocks for the Crow. Not sure if it hindered the gag or helped it that it was not so obvious to me to see right away. I thought the crow was just sitting at the end of the table, in a somewhat kilroy was here fashion.
To make it read more quickly the composition would have to change some, and it might seem possibly seem TOO obvious, and corny,

I think I've dreamt of being in that same table-stock and not gettin to eat turkey. Why would a crow want turkey anyway? Kinda cannibalistic.
