I've been drawing caricatures of HB characters since I was a kid. I'm starting to collect them on a new blog. There are a few there.http://funkyhb.blogspot.com/
I have tons more in storage somewhere but haven't unearthed them yet. I guess I'll have to do more.

Cool!!!!!
will you be posting your flintstone parody that was published in weirdo?
Nope
this is a family blog
Its great seeing these... thanks for sharing them.
Make a dirty blog! LIke Vincent!
These are awsome!!!!!
yay!!! fun! fun! fun!
All of these are hilarious, John, but you must realize that if you'd presented a portfolio like this to H-B in the early 60's, they would have been horrified by it!
I keep forgetting about Huckleberry Hound... he is such a nascent character ripe for surprises. I would love to see your take on Top Cat or Wally Gator. I love Barney's green hair. It's like he's distantly related to Sprout or something.
Pretty awesome stuff, not going too lie.
I looked and I remember some of them from when I was looking through your blog, but the ones I hadn't seen are amazing!
Great idea for a blog. That HB stuff is some of my favorite.
Hi John, congratulations for your art men.. Ren & Stimpy makes me laugh a lot of when i was younger.
I wrote an "article" about you in my blog recently and draw a little bad fan art
Well, any thing else.. greetings!
Sorry for my english :P
Its funny you posted this. I actually drew a variation of Yogi the other day. I've posted it on my blog:
Yogi
thanks so much!
i didnt know you have so many blogs..
these HBs are so inspiring for me, i find myself obsessed with how to find some time to sit and draw and ink some stuff in that spirit..
guess a weekend with my family will make me postpone these thoughts. oh well...
peace!
I'll never look at animation in the same way as I did before, after reading Mr. K's careful analyses of how to draw... and how not to.
Unfortunately for me, I have what a doctor called an "essential tremor" in both hands, so I can't draw anything at all. I get by all right in Photoshop, though. Pixels and paint are two different things.
Doctor: "You have an essential tremor."
Me: "Well, who said it's essential? I sure don't need it!"
Doctor: "No, that means that you'll have a hand tremor for life and it will never go away."
I think I might look around for another doctor. Maybe one with a license...
