The rosy or ruddy look on all the characters does give them a healthy outdoorsy common people look actually but somehow, it also comes off as kind of cute, too.
These are some great illustrations! I couldn't help but sit and draw a couple of them.
I like how Bamm Bamm hits the dinosaur with his open hand.
Holy cow! Where'd you find these beauties? Are these on display at the ASIFA?- trevor.
yes! defenetly this is cool stuff!i liked a lot the Flinstones backgrounds paintings, and screenshots that you posted,i save then and use them for color reference and brush styles...thanks!

I really like old paintings, and I always noticed the red noses. I don't know why but most feel incomplete without it.
Beautiful stuff as usual. Any idea what book these are from? I could swear I had it when I was a kid.
One thing that's kind of remarkable about these illustrations is how the empty space on the page, where I'd assume the text went, is utilized. It's not dead space. The drawings still look complete without the text, and with all that white, empty space.
Thanks for posting this beautiful work John!
I love the complex animation of R & S !!!
