Warm colors, warm feelings. I especially love that chair the Ranger is sitting in. Great color combo.

Mmmmm, feels good, and has the aftertaste of sugary breakfast cereal.

I really like the way the cop looks in the second picture.

Among other things... the nice little detail of the lamp's reflection on the TV screen.

Thanks for posting these, John! Absolutely gorgeous. After the first post, I had to get this book.

On top of the already beautiful paintings and designs, Mel did a really smart thing on the end papers to save time and maximize impact. When I saw he had designed the skyscraper page to be re-used with different corresponding pages by simply flipping it, I was blown away by his genius. Again.

I just heard they are making a Yogi movie in the style of the Chipmunks movie.

Are you excited.

What does everyone think of the actual filmn? One of the people here said in "HB Begins to Standardize"{?] that the humans were predessecors of Scooby characters..I was off and on a fan of the movie..I'd rather watch the original Yogi shorts..

It's very clever how he dealt with the cut in the double-page illustration.

Two-page spreads are very problematic (except for the exact middle pages of a magazine!)

People often put important stuff (faces, etc.) right in the middle and they get cut and disappear.
