great stuff-iam sorry i nver saw your version of the jetsons-they were never a favorite of mine while growing up-always seemed like watered down flintstones to me.anyway, about a year ago you blogged about a new feature added to the current copyright law which stated that a company could use "found material"-a submission laying around the offices suddenly seeming to have potential, could be used without having to contact or pay the creator, claiming it was found intellectual property, did this pass as law? i also understand that copyright laws only last seventy years or so then revert back to the creator or lapse into public domain, which means characters like mickey mouse, bugs bunny, captain america, batman etc, should be public domain,i know joe simon, co-creator of captain america and the jack kirby family are currently suing marvel over the captain america character(among others)and both marvel and dc are curently changing their iconic characters, batman is not bruce wayne, cap is now bucky barnes, etc..is there a legal loophole that allows disney and warner to retain ownership of these characters or is the public being cheated!? why is frankenstein public domain but not mickey mouse? love your blog, read it almost everyday, couldnt live without it!

Hey John, I was just reflecting on those posts you did about the emotional richness of Beatles songs ("I Don't Want To Spoil The Party") and I was just wondering....wadya think of "Pet Sounds"? I'm listening to it right now and it sounds like the kind of thing you love, but you've nver mentioned it. I'm just curious. I adore it myself.

Is the book going to have pre-Spumco Spumco art, or will copyright prohibit it?

Hi John,
your perchance to teach old-timey values inspired my work during 24 hour comic book day.

I've been posting pages online in place of my normal political cartoons.

the link above is my first drawing lesson in the middle of an epic sci-fi space war.

Did you ever see that guy Commander Mark and the Draw Squad? Kind of a riff on him.

Peace,
RR
