You know the films with the highest budget don't always turn out as the best. I think that companies with a higher budget can become to focus on marketing, detail of the film, and not the pure cartoon essentials.
If they don't care about creativity or profits than what do they care about? Their agenda. Are they mad bent on something?
They don't care about anything. They are incompetent. Why do you think they know what they're doing? Where are you getting that idea? All I see is evidence to the contrary.

Movies and television no longer target the general population. Just like the music industry it targets specific markets. Preteens, Reality show addicts, and soccer moms. The rest of us who think logically and live in the real world aren't viable consumers. Entertainment is about selling merchandise to idiot consumers. Those of us who want good entertainment are too smart to mindlessly collect crappy useless merch.

Producing must be really hard work making sure the studio uses their time, effort and money wisely, right?

Well some of you guys are saying there not using any of their assets wisely. Than this guy says the opposite.
Make up your minds. Producers in their very nature are the ones that manage the production and money to see that everything is going smoothly and profits turn out. Of course they care about profits.

Didn't early animation producers spend their own money. I'm referring to the ones of the thirties and forties. Like Fleischer, and Disney they cared what happened business wise.
Because it was more a self-financed art-form back than instead of some stupid commercial enterprise that we have today.
If animation producers ran the chainsaw business, this is the tool they would give you.
