Tato wakes with a start at the screeching alarm.

Ranger Malynisky scratches and smacks himself to consciousness...
While Kaspar patiently waits for his rewards
Fully alert, the adult of the hominid species is eager to attend to his own instincts
He awakes his one surviving young
Off they march to their morning rituals
Kaspar being a primitive creature, has only 3 emotions: Hate, Kill and Mangle.
He hungers for the more sophisticated emotions of man and instinctively sets his traps that he might partake in the bountiful and complex reactions of the higher species who survives only by his mercy.

Hahaha, I love how the rangers are completely oblivious to all the Kaspar toenails clinging to 'em. XD
This right here is classic stuff.
'retract cock'. Really? Hehehe :)
Hey John, If i comment on an old post will you still see it?
I know I'm late and behind but i did two Popeye studies.
Popeye
Use the cock, Kaspar.
John if I ever won the lottery I would personally fund you and your creative team to finish animated episodes of this.
John,
Harlan Ellison used to do a stunt where he would write a story while sitting in a bookstore display window. As he finished a page, he would tape it to the glass and bystanders would read it. In a sense, you are performing a similar task and I am really digging being one of the bystanders. Thanks.
Most cartoon characters at least have a heart even the Grinch's which is two times two small. Does Kaspar even have a heart?
Yeah, Kaspar has a heart. He can feel pity. You'll se that in another story.
He also feels shame for feeling pity, because that is a weak human emotion.
haha, the rangers look like eddie.
Hey John just wanted to let you know you inspired another artist to use construction. Maybe I won't be so shitty for that much longer.
Here is my latest: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_X4HkUR9IyJQ/SvyiL3ND91I/AAAAAAAAAas/T1oeYD80TSo/s1600-h/scan0011.jpg
They are drawings I took from stills of The Sword and the Stone. I drew them by using construction and it isn't much, but its a great improvement for me personally. I may never be a great artist, or even an animator, but at least I'll get better, I think.
I come to your blog every so often and I look at the pictures you put up here. And read the things you say. And it inspires me not to suck so much. So just wanted to say, Thanks.
- Trevor.
I'm gonna get a funny dust mite T-shirt and offend my stuffy relatives this Christmas dinner.
hey john ever thought on making any kaspar t-shirts?
I'll be happy to, if I sell the ones I already printed.
I cannot enter the website of the shirts, what happens?
I think that a great way to show heart in a cartoon character is through a Christmas special.
I don't know its just that even some of the most malicious and vicious cartoon characters show heart in a Christmas situation.
"I cannot enter the website of the shirts, what happens?"
just click George in the post.
I guess that this part of the storyboard is the beginning of the other storyboard you showed earlier with the young ranger's "Urges"
Mainly because the father ranger's underwear fell down on that one and Kasper has chewed up some underwear in this recent one, so I guess it kind of links up.
I tried my hand at some Kaspar drawings here.
Haha!! I really like the rolling eyes gag! Pure cartooning brilliance. You won't see cartoon comedy like that in an episode of Ben 10.
I want to get my dad the George Liquor shirt for Christmas, but it's not available in Large. Damn my luck.
"Kaspar being a primitive creature, has only 3 emotions: Hate, Kill and Mangle."
That cracked me up. I can't wait to see what Ranger Malynsky will do.
Something about your Ranger scene doodles makes me want to hand the scene over to Nick Cross, if I were a director with him on my staff.
I know this is off topic, but I want to get your thoughts on Shepard Fairey.
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Everytime I meet someone who thinks just having a wacom tablet makes them an artist, I show them your site and a book or two. Keep up the good work.
