Hey, that almost looks like the expression Ms. Botz has, on the Simpsons episode "Some Enchanted Evening", which was directed by Kent Butterworth. Great find!

Here's an interesting article about working at filmation Working at Filmation I thought that part of the article about the animators smoking while working and getting cigarette burns on the animation drawings was very telling of the quality of the cartoons that they made!

A funny article, which also confirms a lot what John has been saying here. I didn't know that Filmation kept all of its work in the US, but does that justify their horrible output?
Filmation didn't keep ALL of its work in the U.S. They shipped their 1980 "Zorro" show off to Japan to be animated by TMS, at a very low budget. Their U.S. studio was too busy to handle "Zorro" on top of everything else they were crapping out that year. TMS did a good job of imitating the Filmation house style except they drew every shot exactly on model and didn't make one perspective error.
Just got a copy of the DVD over the weekend, so now I can get rid of that ancient VHS tape of the first show. (It's old enough to drink athis point.)
I enjoyed the audio commentary for "Mighty's Benefit Plan" (The story of "Mashy the Pup" is great.) but it still doesn't answer a question which has plagued me for over two decades: why is Sandy Bottomfeeder's mouth always full of cereal? WHY?

Well the take was actually in the storyboard, drawn I think by Tom Minton, or maybe Eddie. It was a long time ago...

Do you know who drew the cover to the disc? Is that new or just recycled promotional art from the 80s?
It was Mike Kazaleh that had designed the new wrap around cover for the Mighty DVD case, Trevor.
