Hi John, my name is Rémy M.Larochelle and I'm a big fan of your's. I've been reading your blog for some years now!!! And I've learn a lot... Anyway, I want to show you a small wacko cartoon I have created. I think the character animation is good. It's lowbrow style! Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYV9a3y6wdQHope you like it!RémyIf you want more info, contact me via: remymlarochelle.com
I want to actually HEAR George Liquor saying "Read my goddamned stories!"
George looks so gloriously well-kept. I'd send him links if he was a dad.
Stories worthy of the name "Liquor!"
Mr Kricfalusi,Firstly, thankyou so much for all of your personal insight into animation that you have posted on this blog. I have learned so much from your blog, from layouts and drawings to debates within animation. I really enjoy your informative and observative posts.I would love to know your opinion on the animation of Richard Williams. I could not see any reference to his work here. I particularly wonder what you think of his title sequences for the Pink Panther movies Return of the Pink Panther and Pink Panther Strikes Again, especially in comparison to the less sophisticated looking Freleng DePatie titles of the other Panther movies. Maybe you could devote a blog post to him some time? Also, a blog post on Galaxy High would be great too. The character designs were unusually quirky for the 80s, I think, and the show's storylines I also felt were above the norm for the era. Many thankyous for reading this.
That's some goooood Jim Smith, ill tell you what
John, couldn't you easily make real webcomics out of these stories?Y'know, with inking, colouring, speech balloons, page layout, etc?
Well I'd have to pay someone to do the cleanup, inking and stuff.John
I'd love to see these ideas made into cartoons or comics.Concerning Michael's comment, you could always have the cleanup/coloring as part of an unpaid internship program.
great work. love the pencil sketches, who did those?
George L. looks like a great concept for Adult Swim or Spike TV. Fingers X'ed they go for it!
"love the pencil sketches, who did those? "Jim and I.
Love George in the tree
Good goddamned George Liquor stories wouldn't be complete without all these incredibly solid, well-constructed drawings. I don't wanna be rude to you or anything, because I know you're probably still trying to move on from that unfortunate business, but have you found any good voice actors that can perform George Liquor's voice or at least considered anyone for the role?
Is it too early audition new Georges?
Looks like a vengeful Slab and Ernie slipped a plastic bag over our favorite draconian disciplinarian while he is engrossed in the family Bible.
Watched the COMICON presentations - a great JK pitch! When will Adult Swim or Spike get serious and put GEORGE LIQUOR or some other JK show? I'd actually watch TV again if that were so.And in all honesty, given JK's engaging COMICON performance, I suspect JK's own voice, with possibly a little post tweak, would work well for George.
Now that's a nice cycle. And if I'm not mistaken, I think the lawnmower is CG!
where's that first clip from? the lawnmower one?
I recognize the lawn mowing bit from a previous pitch posts you posted. Has the network bought the show? Please say yes.
ah! that GDGeorge Puppet is great!
who made that George Liquor puppet? haha!
