NEWS REPORT: VIEWMASTER CURES SMOG

I didn't realize there was smog in London, but if you go there, make sure you bring your Viewmaster. It works just like a gas mask.

Off-model fun, in a kinda amateurish, yet funny way. Did you ever play with one of those Give-a-Show projectors when you were a kid? Now those drawings are really off-model, funny, and amateurish at the same time.

I love Veiwmasters.

And the colours on those Give-A-Show slides NEVER EVER matched up with the linework. You can tell it was the pre-Xerox days too and that all the drawings were done in-scale to the slides without being reduced.

Some stellar examples here: http://www.beegeesfever.com/give_a_show/main/1964_1967/010_dr_who_65/page.html

THey're actually correct about the smog ... London Fog was London Smog. Just doesn't have the same ring to it.

I live in London, and I try not to breath when I'm out of the house. So a Viewmaster may just be the solution to my smoggy situation.

Does anyone else think Yogi's caboose has put on weight in the top picture?

Yogi was not all that bright, if
you remember, he mistook the fog
for smog, coming from the West.

The Viewmaster isn't working, he's still blurry.

Hey John remember your post on depressing animation studios with Hannah Barbera a few months ago? Well one of those shows might have just become a reality Gary Coleman is dead. Another situation of life imitating art even if The Gary Coleman show is considered art.
