Downtown, Mrs. VanPelt has fainted and is dragged off by her loving husband.
Curly Fuzz Poodle has come to a momentous decision.
He is about to share it with all his fans. He pulls his weathered string.
Alas, it snaps and the Curly one is silenced forever.
He exhales his last dust puff.
Mute, he now resorts to sign language. An interpreter translates for us.
"Well folks, the time has come for me to discard myself for good."

Can the sticker sheet be bigger? I want a good look at her crazy mom.
That sticker sheet is so cute! I want to see this get animated so badly.
You need to get a Kickstarter account. If Joe Murray can get a cartoon funded there, so can YOU.
I wonder if you could get away with Poodle secretly signing something naughty or ridiculous in actual sign language.
At least curly fuzz poodle wasn't bummed up when his cord snapped and good thing he knew sign language
Hmmmmmm....the drawings where Curly Fuzz is deciding to make a decision reminds me of that scene from Bob Clampett's "A Gruesome Twosome." Even a few of the expressions look kinda similar.
Sounds like you've been watching tons of Warner cartoons lately.
Like the rest of your fans, I'd love to see this animated too. In the meantime, however, I really think you should consider using the webcomic format to present this stuff to the public. You've got enough material to post daily updates (and daily updating is one of the keys to a building a big audience, which you've already got a head start on). It could be huge! Well, anyway, I'd read it.
Great drawings, John! I hope someday this will be animated; it sounds like an amazing cartoon.
... And the sticker sheet is so cute!
Where can I buy it? lol.
How could it get any worse for Curley.
Oh man! Is that sticker sheet available for purchase?
That sticker sheet is cool. You should put that image, or at least the Roxy image on a mug.

Why did you change your blog to be black text on greenish turd background? The only way to read it is to highlight all the text with your cursor first. I'm getting a headache. YOu should read John Kricfalusi's writings on color theory. Oh, wait...
Great storyboard so far... Can't wait to see the rest, ad then the final project. Hope you get the green light soon!
That last expression on Curly Fuzz is absolute genius! ^__^
Thanks for answering me on Facebook aslo John! :)
You probably didn't know that was me though ^^;;
Man, this pilot has 16 parts in it already.
How many more until Heartaches is a feature length?
Not that I mind, ha.
I hope, JK, you can find the young non-ingrained crew and the bucks to make this.
I can't believe that I ever criticized The Heartaches. It's a really top-notch show!
BTW, what, roughly, is the audience that Heartaches is aimed at?
can we interchange stickerz?

LOL. Too bad this isnt on TV. Sir, would you ever do comic strips? Either online or in newspapers?
Can't wait for the next installment.
I don't think any newspaper would accept my stuff. It doesn't fit their mold either.
And have you seen how small newspaper comics are now?
But thanks!
