I still can't remember what Crystal's power was. I do recall that the coolest thing about her was her pet giant bulldog Lockjaw who was one of the best animal characters in all of Silver Age comics.
Can you stick LockJaw in there? Maybe make em' look like the dog that gets offed in Big House Blues. You know, he wasn't really a dog, but a deformed Inhuman, with transporting powers...
Hey, Kirby drew some stuff for NBE so going there works perfectly well to parody him!
Also let me reiterate FORESHORTENING FORESHORTENING FORESHORTENING. You had better be intending to get Johnny's other hand right up in the camera or I'm gonna come on down to LA just to smack some EXAGGERATED PERSPECTIVE into you! *grin*
I seriously hope that this is the drawing you're gonna use for the Marvel Comics assignment. Appealing, lively, and dynamic all the the same time. You have some superhuman ability or something, John.
And oh yeah. I apologize for anything bad, arguement inducing, stupid, or irrevelent I've been writing in my comments lately, especially the comment I wrote prior to this one. It's not really a big deal if there's something I said that you did not want to publish, but I'm kinda have been worrying a little bit. I've been drawing tons though and practicing almost everyday, so that isn't really a problem.
It looks cool, i defenately see your drawing style in there, i dont realy see the Kirby style in there yet, but its hard to copy someone else his style. Actualy i dont miss the Kirby style in that drawing, it a funny looking cartoon on it's own.
Don't you think it's very annoying when someone pushes down his style on your work? Or if someone gives you an assignment and tells you to draw in a speciffic style?
I mean drawing in a Kirby style is cool, but it isnt your own. But you're making more of an homage. i am curious how the drawing turns out!
Honestly I don't know too much about Kirby other than what I've read here, but the Johnny drawing definitely reminds me of Jack Davis or some other classic Mad artist.

Awesome! I see I totally went in an opposing direction in helping you. Whoops! Sorry!
Wrong genre...story of my life!
Great work!
THe other hand could be fanning the flames, John.
Nice work!

I still see some Kirby style shading in there John! Looks great man. I can't wait to see it all done.
You rock, just like I knew you would.
That looks great John.
