UFC 118 Tonight

They are marketing it as boxing VS MMA.

I can't wait to see what happens. Lots of other great matchups too.

Great stuff John!

Thanks for the advise last time. Here are a few more studies. I always appreciate feedback.

I thought BJ was just biding his time at first, waiting for the perfect moment to take down Edgar and make him tap out, but he was just sluggish and AWFUL the entire time. You could see it all over his face... he was tired and awful Edgar dominated with his wabbit like energy.

I knew Randy would win his match, but I was still rooting for Toney. I was thinking to myself, "get up, GET UP FOR JOE LOUIS!"

It was a night of domination. No real even match-ups.

Great James Toney. Love the lips and narrow eyes.

Kind of wish they'd put Toney against a striker---maybe Dos Santos----would have been a better fight.

Nice James Toney! I didn't get the UFC last night, first in a long time. I knew Couture wasn't dumb enough to stand and exchange with Toney and pretty much knew the outcome would play out as it did. I wanted to see the Penn, Edgar rematch though. You think Chael Sonnen will clean Silva's clock next time??? BTW: The Great Joe Louis doesn't need anyone, especially a slob like Toney, to get up for him.

What Joe Rogan learned in 1993 is what Helio Gracie already knew in 1934 when he challenged boxing heavyweight world champion Primo Carnera, and again in 1948 when he challenged boxing legend Joe Louis and then in 1950 when he challenged world heavyweight champion Ezzard Charles. The lesson is that there is ONLY one way to stop Gracie Jiu-Jitsu...learn Gracie Jiu-Jitsu.

As for BJ. The only objective criteria that can determine the real superiority of one fighter over another are submission and loss of consciousness. Any other system is subjective and intended for better tournament logistics, entertainment and/or commercial reasons.
