They really loved those band of blue. The Jetsons even used them to delineate the atmosphere. The ones I really like are the deeper blues and purples in the flying in "Bewitched Bear."

We are used to lame, awful cartoons, we wouldnt even know what to do if we saw something good.
I think it would make too many peoples heads explode, for the love of dignity and humanity don't do it, man! Don't post that awesome stuff, lets see more of those great 70's and 80's cartoon we love so much.
The colour on this BG is rich & there seems to be a dense layering of various techniques - what kind of paint was used & how do you get that chalky/spongy effect of the sand? I love the 60s look but have no idea how to achieve it
