Dick Heumners rendition on Fitz the dog from Out of the Inkwell. I don't know why people consider this stuff primitive. This quote on quote primitive stuff beats the crap out of anything produced these days.

This is how cartoons should be made.

Say John did you know that Fleischer's not Disney made the first sound cartoons.

When was this from?

Fleischer's cycles had a fluidity that most other animators of the day couldn't touch.

This is a minor quibble, but I notice that the arms are not animated: it's a stiff-arm walk cycle. That may have been intentional in context, I don't know. But I wonder whether this cycle would have looked more natural with swinging arms.

It is part of the Warner Archive, the WHOLE Censored 11.

How do you feel about this, John. It may not be on a deluxe disc, but at least it is available for public consumption (Watching on Youtube feels hollow.)
