Off topic: John, I think you don't tend to go towards "realist/dramatic" animation, but I thought the trailer for this new film was interesting. Paths of Hate Trailer
There is no one beautiful left in Hollywood these days. Why not get a time machine and go back to the forties and actually draw more attractive people.
The ironic bent of these posts must have been lost on me. If you're saying these people are ugly, I don't really see it. All I see are faces with character made grotesque by a caricaturist with a wonderfully perverted sense of humour. After all, a face must, at very least, be INTERESTING to earn a caricature like one of these.
I like how you always draw Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart in so many different ways. It's like these caricatures have a life of their own, so to speak.

Most art and animation schools don't cover any of the classic cartoons or the history of animation. This may explain why many people entering the industry these days don't understand the principles of the forties they never viewed those cartoons from that period.
I have heard rumors that the only Golden Age material that Cal Arts discusses is Disney leaving out Warner Bros., MGM, and Fleischer and many other art styles. They don't mention them once during the four year enrollment there.

Don't get me wrong I like drawing ugly for the sake of ugly, I'm a huge fan of Basil Wolverton and love when John posts him.
Maybe the title beautiful people is facetious considering that when he does these posts not all of the celebrities he draws are beautiful people. I guess I need a better sense of humor.

I may be lucky to ignore who's the one with the floating eyes, but she looks really nice. Beautiful gale indeed!
"Beautiful" seems to be far-fetched with these people.

The Brandy caricature with the floating eyes literally made me lol.
Love these! Even as a caricature, Kristen Stewart looks like she's miserable.
LIKE LIKE LIKE!
The Kristen Stewart one is masterful/hilarious.
