Very nice. a combination of the Flintstones and Hummel figurines. I wonder if there are any Fred and Barney sheperds out there, dino as a sheep, or maybe some harlequins?
I'm guessing their intention was sitting on a living room chair talking on the phone, but making the top of the chair the lid doesn't help it look less like a toilet tank.
But who knows what a Bedrock commode looks like? I don't think they ever showed one.
Yeah, it probably was supposed to be a chair with phone next to Wilma but lid gives it the evil appliance look.
It seems, once past early days of animation, outhouses and other "toilet humor" vanished from USA animation. Not sure who was first bringing 'em back but might have been FRITZ THE CAT (R. Bakshi).
Alfred Hitchcock claims to have produced the first feature film showing a toilet in action flushing away incriminating banking evidence. It was "PSYCHO!".
Disney hinted at toilets within live action films such as OLD YELLER and BON VOYAGE!.
