Is there some "organic vs artificial" theme going on here? I'd really like to read the explanation.

Maybe the universe itself is not just by accident but has been planned out some how and like design, they have rhythm and patterns and such.
I personally love the colors on the CG ones. Color seems like one of the only things CG can do very well.
I'm going with "strong contrast" for $200.
They are all random and/or naturally created patterns.
