I just started loving these guys, and I have you to thank, John. I was born in the age of mediocrity, so if it weren't for you I would grow up not knowing of these insanely funny guys.
The veteran caricature artist Jorge de los Rios is alive and well and has a lovely blog with his caricatures. Here: http://delosriosgeorge.blogspot.com/
The Beatles sculptures are by David O'Keefe of Florida, not Spitting Image...he does incredible caricature work in Sculpey and is a hell of a nice guy to boot. He is the also the only artist to have a sculpture on the cover of MAD magazine (Alex Trebek). http://freshbump.com/beatles-sculpture-by-david-o-keefe-1
Thanks for this post J...I grew up with a Pa who pretty much never laughed at anything--ever--but the TS. Which in my kid mind signaled that they had magic powers. So I'd stare hard at the PBS trying to co-opt some of the magic. But I never could't get it at all. Still they make me smile for tickling him so.

THREE STOOGES FOREVER.
That is one cool cover!
Gotta' love Spitting Image, wish they caught on in the states.
Ringo just gets abused. Last I saw, I thought he'd aged pretty well. Paul makes a nice granny.
Nice Three Stooges drawing, but I don't quite understand why the ears don't have any openings. Maybe its because they weren't good listeners....
thanks for posting!

That second image reminds me of the puppets from the band Genesis's 1980's music video for the song Land of Confusion.
Do we get to see Paul slap Ringo?
Thanks Emily Anthony for clearing up the artist who did the beatles sculpture. I assumed it was a spitting image puppet. thanks for the link.
And thats a rad stooges cover!
Thanks for posting john.
I guess those Beatles puppets are supposed to be hideous, but still, they're hideous.
That sculpture work is fantastic. Unbelievably hard work. Also grotesquely frightening. XD ahaha
I could see EASILY how this artist must have gotten on the cover of Mad! Just great stuff. :D
nice, did you take these from my FC profile :)?
Here's the new inking with the corrections.
