sorry I haven't put any thrilling posts up lately

I'm kinda burnt out on cartoon theories for the moment-or at least writing about them

however, I always love when Mike
Fontanelli sends me these wacky toy images, so I just put 'em up in case anyone else likes funny toys too

I would love to be in the board meeting when someone says "I got it! We'll make a line of Yogi toys where all the characters have flesh colored heads, but the bodies will be their regular colors!" I bet he got a bonus for that. Maybe another top exec added the oversized belly buttons.

here's a well groomed 70s Fred with vestigial ear mounds and webbed digits

Magilla Gorilla cartoons are pretty stinky but he sure made a great line of toys

Top Cat teaches our young the all-American happy art of killing. The cardboard hanger is as cool as the holster design. Is that a one-eyed Huck at bottom right? Musta had the other'n shot out by TC.

childs everywhere love giant fuzzy beasts

I don't know if this whole non-shattering toys thing'll catch on.
Green-haired Barneys are pretty incredible.
I like Fred's manly blue dress.
*sigh* Where have the good 'ol american times gone.
That top photo with the print ad depicts the Flintstones soft rubber figurines that I fondly recall having as a kid. Mine weren't painted though, just molded in solid strange colours (green Betty?!) with some areas highlighted with black paint. John, I don't know whether you had these, but I remember they were all the rage at the Towers store in Ottawa, sold in celebration of The Flintstones 10th anniversary I believe. Ah, memories...
I don't mind the funny toys! But if you want, you can make fun of the Simpsons or Family Guy. The backlash in the comments might get your fire going again! :)
I also like your fanmail and charicature (and most "bacon") posts too.
I remember when head-waxing was all the rage...until Ranger Smith posted that darned 'No Waxing' sign.
Cindy looks pretty sexy with her head waxed, but it looks a little too girly on Yogi and Boob.
Are those theme-park photos from the old Hannah-Barbera Land in Houston? I think I still have an old VCR cassette from that place with my brother and I blue-screened into a scene where we are running from a flock of bats with Scooby and Shaggy.
Love Fred´s eyes in the first photo.
Where is that giant Yogi statue? Was there a Yogi Bear themed restaurant I never knew about? ..I wanna go there!
So, how's your book coming along?
I see I'm not the only one that had those rubber ones from the top ad. Fred's orange, Barney's pink, both with just dabs of hair color. Wouldn't be surprised if the only fully painted ones were the ones in the ad.
Rootin, tootin'...Top Cat? Quick Draw's right there on the package, but Top Cat's the one that gets the six shooter? I guess they all have their own guns in the series. Hey Kids, now you can finally have that Hanna-Barbera Mexican standoff!
want to see comic? maybe?
Don't Let This Happen To You
Hey!!!!!!!!!!!! John Kricfalusi, is true that you make a illegal episode of Billy & Mandy with Maxwell Atoms? is from a Creepypasta
I have no idea what that is. Never seen it.
How did the movie deal go? Must go to John K film.
Also, Warner Brothers is releasing a lot of its material under "Warner Brothers Archive" I can tell from this blog you appreciate older films.
This might become the Chinese buffet of films. Anything you want, as long as you pay WB fair market price.
Also, the Censored 11 should come out later this year.
Also, what about the Ultimate Ren ans Stimpy collection?
Finally, all I have to say is
LOG
Hi there, John, i'm sorry, but my comment has nothing to do with the post [by the way, i really enjoy the posts about the cartoons of hanna barbera, is really great! well... now i've said something related to this post] I have a blog full of work, it will be a great honor for me if you could see it and tell me your opinion about it http://uselesstalkin.blogspot.com/

What happened John? Without your daily thrilling posts I dont know what to do with life.
"I'm kinda burnt out on cartoon theories for the moment-or at least writing about them"
You scare me when you talk like that.
Hey John! Did you by chance happen to visit Bento Box Ent earlier today, 02/16/2011? I thought I saw you, or at least someone who looked an awful lot like you. What were ya doing there? (if you don't mind me asking.)

Hey Hey it's JohnK! Maybe you just need a road trip. I took one awhile back and it's phenomenal what happens along the way. Such as, remember when A&W had The A&W Bear which was Yogi and they hoped we just forgot about him. As if. But if you've got a convertible that's the way to go.
John, I'm curious what you think of the music in current Disney. I like it, but I am a sucker for Broadway. Also, am willing to buy the Ultimate Ren and Stimpy
Hey John, is there anyway i can get a hold of "Weekend Pussy Hunt"? Still the best online animated cartoon ever. Seems to be the only online animation i can go through frame by frame and be amused by ever single drawing.
Magilla Gorilla wasn't my favorite after-school cartoon. My sympathies were always with Mr. Peebles, the long-suffering pet shop owner. Imagine the care & feeding issues!
