Those are awesome, I love how it builds to an unbelievable level. A freakish Elmer Fudd!
Were these done recenly or back in the early 2000's?
The metamorphosis of George's teeth is hilarious. The little squirt of pee from Stimpy as well. What do you think it would cost to get these made?
Great acting, next to Anthony's Dad I think George Liquor's acting is second to none!
these drawings are so funny!
Bejesus! That is outrageous. Thank you JohnK from us mere mortals.
Amazing! If you scroll down the page really fast you can see it animated...almost.
This drawing are a lecture my friend!
"Were these done recenly or back in the early 2000's?"The first post of these said it one one of the first stories written. That should place it another 10 years further back than the early 2000's. It's a shame the network had such a problem with George Liqour. We missed out on some great cartoon acting as well as some great voice performances from Mike Pataki. This latest series of layouts shows there was still a great deal of work to do joining up all these poses. Having the key poses must have made it easier to guide the animation, but it looks like it would take more than just some inbetweening. I'd like to see how that would have turned out if Bob Jaques had been involved.
They were done a couple years after APC.I was trying to get my drawings back to a more cartoony style. These are sort of a transition to what I'm doing now.
Wow. I thought these looked post-APC, but I assumed you'd just say I was being funny again.Either way, they look wonderful and I'm copying them. No need for a lecture, I'm learning a lot just drawing. Thanks again!!
Beautiful drawings. I love how if I scan them fast with my eyes the movement actually works. You're a freak. I can only hope to draw as well as that some day. Great work. X)
Ah, that makes more sense. I thought there was something about them that looked more recent, but I got thrown off by the comments on the storyboards from Monday's post, and the "Hippie ladies" that rejected them seemed like it was from the 'nick run. Maybe just those storyboards were from that era?Stimpy in particular looks a bit more like the APC period, but I should have known from Ren's smaller ears and no tail that it wasn't '91. It's hard to hide improved skills as well.
To go back to your first jobs in cartoons, what were the advertisements like? I am pretty sure offering to have your dreams destroyed wouldn't get many takers for the Filmation cartoons. How did they advertise they wanted cartoons? Did they bait with good cartoons?
I like what Ben Arthur said there! George Liquor: "QUIET, ya bum! I'm hunting damn rabbits!"
God damn I be craving new Ren & Stimpy!
This will look great in performance capture animation!!!I'm joking.
I take my hat off for you, sir. Never did I truly appreciate your greatness until now. This stuff is amazing.
Amazing. I wish I could have this much control over my drawings, to have the poses be beautifully drawn and designed but also so alive and full of emotion and personality.Shane
God I love storyboard drawings and these look fantastic. Terrific expressive line work.
I love these drawings; especially Ren's expressions!
