Thanks, John! This theory is very useful!!
Aye aye sir, expect studies within the week!I think cartoons are the only form of homework I like
Isn't this known as flour sack and rubber hose?
This is great! Will we get to see a bean theory as well?
you can explain these things in such a funny but clear way, you are a great teatcher! thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge!
News on the DVD front. Some Looney Tunes cartoons will be transferred to Blu-Ray.http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Bugs-Bunny-Looney-Tunes-Comedy-Hour-Platinum-Collection-Volume-1/15697
Wow, this actually crossed my mind a while back. I ignored it to focus on better sanity.
Very interesting theory. Now that I think about it, alot of cartoon characters have marcroni arms and legs.
If people still read them, you should write a book.
Wow, great stuff! Love when you talk theory and I always glad when you bring them to light. Keep it up!
Very helpful/ yay :) When I was drawing the Stimpys for practice I kept saying to myself, "butterbean body".
Thanks a lot, John! I've never seen studies about the behavior of cartoon legs and arms before, it's truly helpful!
The closest to this I've found was from the Richard Williams books...I like this "Mac and Beans theorem". Lately (For the past few years), I've started working with bone structures. It can be quicker... but it looks robotic, and to actually get a Mac and Beans style, you need a bunch of bones, which inevitably will make it slower.
This is ace John, thanks!
I'd never looked at 30's animation THAT way before, thanks a bunch John! Now I outta do homework!
Intresting! This is typical stuff you don't learn at school. You should do a piece of that in the great Spumco book of animation. ;)Or maybe an 40's animation instruction video :PI've been wachting a lot of 40's animation lately and i still discover more and more awesomeness
So if they are long feet like Rens, would that be considered frank and beans?
Hey an Idea for two new characters?
"It should look good and feel like it makes sense." Best "RULE" ever!
