I'm not sure if you've covered of spoke of this artist before... but I recently discovered a guy named Jim Woodring and bought ever book he's made. It's the most trippiest stuff I've seen and more importantly I love his art style.
Neat stuff as usual...thanks, JK! The Popeye piece almost didn't get printed, but Randolf Hearst read it and said "It's Funny, Print it". (from Bud Sagendorf's book on Popeye).
BTW, why not propose one of your favorite projects on KICKSTARTER.com? They've raised funding for various projects major studios had little interest in.
