I was putting together some Sody images to make a couple of model sheets when I came across a bunch of swell fan art of her. Quite a variety of styles. I don't know all of the artists so have no credits, but if you see something you drew, make a comment and put a link to your sites if you like. I included a caricature of Helene in the model sheet above because the drawing is quite similar to the way I draw Sody. It also kind of points out the difference between my generic girl design and a specific actual girl. Hi Mathias and Helene!
Actually, the 10th drawing in color, with three different Sody heads/expressions is mine. It's an old attempt from 4 or 5 years ago. Thanks for including it here.
Heh...the dead-on front view one with the yellow tank top looks kinda like a cross between Sody and St. Vincent! Lots of amazing stuff here. You're lucky to have so many talented fans.
Hey John, were you ever involved in writing To Salve and Salve Not. It's one of the most appealing, well drawn Games Ren and Stimpy cartoons that I've watched, and a personal favorite. What's the inside story on it and did it begin at Spumco?
John K, please read this, after outsourcing Animation jobs to China, the only way to compete is to “hire” students. No not for free, silly! THEY HAVE TO PAY FOR IT: http://cghub.com/blog/view/digital-domain-s-john-textor-brags-to-investors-about-exploiting-student-labor

Hi John, I've got some Sody art, although I'm a bit embarassed to share, therefore I'll just ask you something...
Since these shapes (see link below) are completely solid, and at the same time, caricatures, wouldn't they work as characters, such as animals or human beings? You once commented on cartoons nowadays using these "lines inside out" tenchnique, but I think in this case it has a different message, such as SOLID. Do you think you can apply this kind of shapes and angles to cartoony characters?
Mr K! I am an Australian fan/student/friend! I love all your work and am trying to better myself with my cartooning through your lesson plan. (I will donate when I can afford to) I am desperate to get a hold of Adult party cartoon and the lost episodes. I cannot find any with PAL region settings. The only ones available on the internet are NTSC region. How can I get a copy of the PAL version? No one seems to sell it????
Hey John! Would love to interview you for "Worked w/ Ralph Wednesdays" on Fuck Yeah Ralph Bakshi! Here's the first one we did w/ Jim Smith! http://fuckyeahralphbakshi.tumblr.com/post/20466491998/fyrb-is-pleased-to-announce-another-new-feature Nothing fancy. quick and simple email interview. If interested, please feel free to hit me up at my personal email jeauxj (at) gmail (dot) com. Lookin' forward to hearing back from you. Take care John!
I've been following your blog for a while, and I wanted to ask you a question about Sody Pop.
What I want to know is when did you create her, and what future plans (if any) do you have for her?
Even though she doesn't make a lot of appearances, I'm fascinated by this character, and I hope to see more of her and any other "pretty girl" characters in the future.
I just randomly stumbled upon your blog, which is very timely for me. This fall will be my first semester at LCAD for animation (after a year at a liberal arts college ignoring the fact that I'm a cartoonist, and finding that I might as well accept it already). Sooo, I've already gained a ton of insight and inspiration, and I look forward to reading more!
Mr. Kricfalusi, it's me, your no.1 fan and protege,I commented on your blog before, but here is my exercise from one of your cartooning lessons on Animation Resources
Hey John, random comment but I grew up with your cartoons (oh man, I was born when Ren and Stimpy first aired). You inspired me to be crazy and wacky and out of the norm among the crowd. Although I don't comment much, I always peek and your blog and take your edumacational posts in consideration.
I'm trying to keep my blog updated with content and I'm always looking forward to posts from you.
Watching Beany and Cecil DVD's revealed that Sody Pop was a nickname for Bob Clampett's wife (showcased and discussed in the "Dirty Pool" cartoon's commentary).

The vitamin bee drawing is nicely done, but a bit bland. The "facial expressions" one by Hammerson Hoek (?) is awesome.
He must've added two drawings above yours Dragan. It was the 8th down when I saw it :P
I'm the 13th one down from the top image... The one you can build into a cube figure (or Cubee)!! Thank you for including it!!
More of my Cubees are here (including George, Jimmy, and various other John K characters): http://theflyingdachshund.deviantart.com/

Hello John, I did the second picture in 2006, glad you like it ! You're one of my favourite artists.

Gee, John, well, I wish I could see Brianne Drouhard draw your character Sody Pop in her own style.

I think they are all great. I especially like #11!
