Hey! i'm a huge fan of your work! and i really want to be an animator! i really want to enter to that storyboard audition thing that you are posting, but i don't feel like i'm good enough for something like that, i have a deviantart account: http://juan-m-m-m.deviantart.com/ there's a folder on my gallery with my animations.
I read your blog alot and i try to aply everything you say everytime i draw, but i dont really know if i'm doing things right, so it would really be helpful if you make a critique of mi drawings, i'm 16 years old and i'm from mexico, so sorry if my inglish sucks haha, i really hope to get a response from you! thanks for you time!

Hi John

I did a storyboard for "The Heartaches" . Sorry for posting it so late, I had a really busy week and didn't have time to work on it till today, which I spent most of the day doing. I'd love any feedback. Good luck at the Taafi story/gag event.

Hey John,

Here's that tool I mentioned that allows you to draw in maya. Allowing you to just pose your character underneath.

It was a pleasure meeting you this past weekend. Cheers.

Hey John, aren't you gonna
show 'em to Brianne Drouhard?
She should work on something that's creative and cartoony and fun like the Heartaches altho she's a girl yet she's at ComicCon. I hope you can find her.

Or better yet, show her your Heartaches work by making a clickable link on her blog.

Thank You.

What about you Paul? Reveal yourself a bit, Mr. Mystery, quid pro quo.

This lacks intimacy.

The marker drawing series ending in "and there you have" didn't change my mind. The mean drawings and silent treatment haven't really accomplished anything. If anything, they made me feel insecure about everything, especially after the bike accident when I heard nothing from you.
Do you know what made me change my mind in earnest?
When I saw a picture of you at TAAFI sitting at a caricature table with the unmistakable expression of concern on your face. When I saw that picture it made me know how you really felt and changed everything. It touched my heart and let me know that everything is truly real.
So go on and hide behind thinly veiled disguises, but know that doing so at this point is out dated and unnecessary.

John K., would it be okay if I could just study your Heartaches characters,
even if I'm a boy and not a girl?
