I just love hearing Olive Oyl doing her impression of Buddy Hackett. And from what I've been told, Woody does a really good Rodney Dangerfield! Toons sure are talented little rascals...
At Amazon, I found some well designed Beany and Cecil VHS front covers. Just for curiosity sake, did you illustrate the covers? They look beautiful and they look like they were drawn in the art style you used for Bakshi's Mighty Mouse.
Lynne Naylor and I drew a bunch of the vhs covers for Bob. We drew many of them at his studio with him sketching over the drawings and telling us stories about Termite Terrace.
I know this has nothing to do with the topic, but did you paint/design these awesome backgrounds? They look beautiful and they remind me of the wonky backgrounds of the wonderful Harlem Shuffle video you made. The colors and lines are fantastic.
When you were starting out in animation, was the progress of animators the same as when Clampett was in the business, in that one started as a cel washer? If so, did you ever wash cels or was the situation different by the time of Filmation?
This is a great illustration of how old cartoons translated well into 3D articles. Whereas a lot of modern toons look like crap when they turn them into toys.
Oh wow! Is that a Little Jimmy Swinnerton bust statue?!? His dog -whoever made that captured his bastardous expression spot on! And it's nice to see Jimmy's grown some hair, too.

Sad to say but I don't think we'll ever see real crap character toys like this again in our lifetimes.
Maybe there's hope with instant 3d printers and such though. It seems like the golden era of low-quality, lousy, sub-par cheap junk is over. Too bad.
