So cute! can't wait to see "cans without labels"
Wow, Johnny, thank you. Your pop must be really proud of having a fun, charasmatic guy for a son like you.Well, you must have a bit of trouble listening to your old man, who listened to his old man before him. But seriously, you gotta listen to him_just cut him some slack?Getting back to the R&S t-shirt, your dad looks pretty reluctant to me;expression on his face, trying not to admit having a cartoonist son with a sick and twisted sense of humor, but with the strongest work ethic I know of a Canadian, and a manly accent.
The out of shape physique on the first one is masterfully put together.
You make Authority Figures in cartoons Funny!
Those drawings, are the great begging for the next line of Fathers Day cards. Just picture it. Some eight year old kid give one of these cards to his Dad. "Oh boy, I can hardly contain myself." Says the proud excited little kid.
it never crossed my mind once to make a cartoon parody of my parents. what is wrong with me?? ...hmm it must of been the fear of some form of swift corporal punishment. (DISCIPLINE!)
Once, I had contempt for those hard-working authority figures. Then I stood back and look at all they'd built.I used to sit on the front porch with a retired Army Colonel and his wife. Every day they would have a cold drink and cookies for me. (I am a laborer and my job took me to their house every day.) We would tell jokes and I'd have ten minutes or so (my rest break) of decent relaxation before going back to work. One day one of their neighbors let his dog out on me and I had to fight it off, cursing and screaming at the top of my lungs. I used every curse word I knew and invented many on the asshole who had allowed the vicious dog to attack me.The next day when I got to the house of the retired Colonel and his wife, the door opened a slight crack. A voice came out."Was that you cursing at our neighbor yesterday?""Yeah. The guy let his dog out on m..."She slammed the door in my face.I never saw them again. No more cold drinks and cookies on the front porch for me.Oh, well. I'm sure they're both dead now.
I'm thinking about it at the moment, but I think the biggest characters are the little ones. The ones people don't always notice. Until you step into their little World. Their room. I was laughing with someone about "our homes as being basically Hamster Cages." We both had some work to do. I was discussing "Patriarchy and Misogyny" on a Forum. Someone said, "don't you know there's a lot of Lesbians here?" I was removed. Feelings were mutual.
Hi John! How's your back?I cleaned one of you're Chipmunkian doodles, hope you like it.
If straight people were conducting themselves as they ought Gay "Marriage" wouldn't even get discussed as an option! Where is the Almighty Authority? I want to know! Where are the Men?
I'm not in favor of censorship but I vote for John to lower the ban hammer on Greenhorn Gal's idiotic, hateful comments. Just my opinion but I don't think her spew adds anything to the discussion of great comic art and animation. She's got her own blog. Let her froth on that one instead of sucking off JK's readership.
A talented person could re-create a scenario and make it funny! I didn't laugh when a guy living with his Parents talked to me about, "crossing State lines to have a 1 night stand with a Welfare Mother of 5." He met her online. He said, "she knew how to push my buttons!"
greenhorn isn't so much "spewing" as "endless source of bizarre". I find myself looking forward to having my neurons scrambled by the almost-but-not-quite coherent ramblings.
