Meh. I'm willing to admit I'm a fan of Invader Zim (the 'tude invasion pic), but now that you mention it, they use the same expressions over and over. If you watch one episode, you'll see the same expressions 50 times. Trust me.

I think the oldest example of 'tude I can think of is Cecil Turtle in the three tortoise vs. hare cartoons with Bugs Bunny (I think there's only three anyways). I hated him so much, it only brought up bad memories when I saw parts of them on tv a few months ago. What a smug jerk!

Hey Kali, That 1700s guy isn't really a good example of "tude". Tude is that bored, disdainful, slightly agry look, that people slap on to characters when they can't think of an actual emotion to give them. Your 1700's guy isn't to cool to be bothered. I have to agree 'tude is rather silly. Just don't get an angry expressions and 'tude mixed up. I noticed a couple pics people said had 'tude merely conveyed anger. I hate it when I DVD cover or poster will show a character expressing 'tude, or any other silly (dumb) expression, and in the show you never see any example of that expression! I think Invader Zim is a good example of this.

I agree with Tibby, this "tudeness" isn't somethign you should NEVER EVER DRAW or the WRONG way to draw. This is an expression in itself which should not be overused as it seems to be but none the less has a point in characterization. As long as you use it in a way that actually portrays your character. What would Riley's character (The Boondocks) be without that so called "tude" expression? He
