When King Features made the crappy 60-61 Popeye cartoons, they were under the impression that Paramount Pictures owned the rights to the Bluto name, so they changed it to Brutus. But they were actually wrong.greggerghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10948067935342787824noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22406604.post-38691722197901010042007-08-09T17:42:00.000-07:002007-08-09T17:42:00.000-07:002007-08-09T17:42:00.000-07:00I love all the cycles on the held poses in Fleisch...I love all the cycles on the held poses in Fleischer stuff.Kyle Bakerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15510028872602371457noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22406604.post-60132414699584935892007-08-09T12:06:00.000-07:002007-08-09T12:06:00.000-07:002007-08-09T12:06:00.000-07:00"What the hell was Kali laughing about?"Probably E..."What the hell was Kali laughing about?"Probably Eddie and John's expressions!Kali Fontecchiohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11203562437910689569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22406604.post-43013370345516075212007-08-09T11:37:00.000-07:002007-08-09T11:37:00.000-07:002007-08-09T11:37:00.000-07:00I love all the fun sight gags they used in these o...I love all the fun sight gags they used in these old cartoons!Popeyes one of the best!Tex Avery was a genuis at them. The "elephant gun" sequence in "Field and Scream" cracks me up no matter how many times I see it.
