NEED A FLASH ASSISTANT FOR 4-6 WEEKS

If you are an animation student on summer vacation and are good at Flash and you need some work and experience for a few weeks, here's what I need you to be able to do:

Flash: You need to be good at the technical aspects of Flash - know symbols, know all the menus and timelines. I will be doing the drawings.

Also some boring office work

Scanning

Driving

Keeping stuff organized

Making it easy for me to just draw and animate.

You need a car and to live near Burbank area.

I would love to help with something like this but I live in New York City. If you know any animators that are looking for help in NYC could you post it up?

hi john. why do use flash instead of moho, toon boom or any other 2d animation software out there. i don't know how to use any of them but i want to learn at least one. that's why i'm asking you why do you prefeer flash insted of the others so i can focus on one. do the guys at halifax us flash too?
last week some people from toom boom came to our studio trying to sell the software and telling us how much better was from moho (now anime studio) toonz, or flash. i'm an asistant so i was hearing that guy telling to our bossess how this sofware inbetween automatically and that's cheaper. i wanted to kick his ass right there
well i hope you can answer me.
thanks!
good luck wiht your search

Ohhhhh I would totally LOVE to do this but I'm in Atlanta! And only have like a week's worth of vacation time built up from work. Ergh!

But, best of luck to whoever gets this great opportunity!! :)

Julian, I am going to fathom a guess that John prefers flash because the final files are kept as vector artwork and is better for web (smaller file sizes, crisper line-work) whereas 2d animation packages are geared towards a rasta video output.

another upshot of flash is that in 100 years when our display devices are in the mega-pixel range, our flash animations will still be as crisp and fresh as the day they were made.

Hey Jon, my name is Lauren and I live in Burbank 3 blocks from Cartoon Network. I graduated from a little film school in Chicago a while ago, but am still looking to get into animation. I have already worked at two commerical houses, (they were SO boring!) But I am currently unemployed, so I'd love to come help ya out. I'm a hard worker, take directions well, yadda yadda . . . also I've been known to bake cookies for the animators. Nice. Get back to me, k? LaurelinSki@gmail.com (I'm on your myspace, too - *Laurelin*)

Hello! I could come help you out on Wednesdays, if you'd like. I have a busy summer schedule, but I'd love to work with you. I've done animatics in Flash before, and I use Photoshop, Illustrator, and Painter on a regular basis.

Hey John, I recently just finished helping my pal on a one minute flash short he produced for Nickelodeon. I've got a side-by-side reel of the work I did on the project but can't post a link on here without losing all my worldly possessions. I'm an aspiring animator from CSU Fullerton who grew up watching Ren & Stimpy with my face attached to the TV and the volume down so my parents couldn't hear. Would love to be able to work with you cool cats over the summer, you can reach me electronically at millsley@gmail.com

Yes, every animation studio in Halifax uses flash.

Hey there John,
This is Joel. I was informed by a friend that you are looking to hire a P.A. that knows Flash. You are in such luck because I was just recently certified in Flash by 21st Century New Media at Elstree film studios in the U.K. I also have a B.A. in animation from Columbia College Chicago. I live up in Santa Clarita and am hopefully moving to Burbank soon. Please let me know if you are interested because I would love to work for you. email: joeldsiegel@aol.com

peace,
Joel

I know this is an old blog, but it seems like this blog is filled with flash cartoonists.

We are looking to hire a Flash cartoonist who can transform our comic ideas into a fun cartoon.

Please contact me at help@hairtransplantnetwork.com if you are interested in being paid reasonably for your work.

Thanks,
