Bickenbach Yogi and Huck

anybody seen any more of these online? I'd like to get 'em all in one place and would be happy to link to any site that has some.

These might be Bick's work too, but I'm not sure...

there you go again-making me feel all nostalgic and sentimental.as a kid i knew the hanna-barbera stuff on t.v was somewhat less than what disney and warner bros.were doing but they made up for it with character-personality.the hb characters were never as generic as mickey mouse nor as rowdy as the warner characters, they always seemed like people you would know.not too colorful, but never boring-they were buddies you were always catching up with.so much aimed at kids these days is just loud and obnoxsious-not really friendly, i miss saturday morning cartoons but i miss hanna barbera even more.

Very good drawings. Is that first one with the swivel chair from 'Hey There Its Yogi Bear'?

Did Bick ever work on Beany and Cecil?

When I tried using Google search for "bickenbach art" and then selected "images", a number of links to different sites appeared. Most links are too long to post here.

but:

http://www.thedeeparchives.com is one place that has some of Dick's MGM material.

Speaking of "Hey There, It's Yogi Bear," what did you think of that movie? I don't recall you writing about it before. I was pretty amazed by the nicely done full animation in it, and in my opinion, it looked a lot better than what HB was producing at the time with stuff like Magilla Gorilla.

Flat but have weight. Is it just the pear shape that he gives the characters?

That station I.D. spot seems slightly out of character. Huck should be the one pasting up billboards, while Yogi goofs off, chowing down on Kelloggs cereal.

All these drawings have charm and appeal to spare. Good stuff.

Totally of the subject John but a while back you commented on the horribleness of the CGI Astrobay… i'm with you on that but as i needed to entertain my child's wants to see yuckiness (normally we watch ren and stimpy or other kick ass 2-d fair, but i wanted her to be well versed in dumbness) i let her get it from the $1 redbox… horrible movie but they rip off ren and stimpy on it look…

look in the background on the tv… that your trusty ren and stimpy opening shot done with robots… grrrrrrrrrrrr
