Nice book! I actually like the fact that every other page is done in reduced color!

Merry Christmas to both of you!

The book is really cool. I had only seen the cartoon before this.

Hahahah, that E has five lines on it! I was a boring kid and just wrote all of my letters backwards.

Merry Christmas, John & co.!

Merry Christmas, John! Those christmas decorations and cards are amazing!

Also, that book has my eyes melting. The illustrations are hypnotic and I have no idea why. Even the ones without lots of flowing lines in the water have me mesmerized (especially the one where the girl falls on the ice).

Are you the one who scribbled all over the book? tsk tsk tsk

Yeah, that LGB of "Once Upon a Wintertime" is one of my faves too, along with "Grandpa Bunny" illustrated by Bill Justice and Dick Kelsey. Great gouache technique in both of those.

Merry Christmas John, and I'm glad to see that, not only does your doggy have enough lead in his pencil, but he's smart enough to keep a rubber handy down there too.

Nice Present for Christmas. Thanks John K - I just watched this one on the ol' VHS player. That book is fabulous - beautiful recreation of the film.

Merry Chrimble to all.

What a Christmas! What a feast! I've only just finished eating the wife for Christmas and .. oh .. the Turkey is in bed. Have I got those two mixed up AGAIN?! I'm ALWAYS getting them two confused ;)

To John K. I love your work. I love old school animation. I have met you before about 12 years ago. You might remember Chopper Chicks of Mars.
I do caricatures now as my main job as an artist, but I do them in ANIME STYLE. This has been very good for me as I have a larger female customer base than male.
What do you think about Anime?

Hmmmm....lessee, yup, I posted about this back in March of '06. Mine is scribble-free.

Great book, by the way. Only one that Oreb was credited for. Too bad. He could've been a great children's book illustrator.
