What Is It

Ever try to do a caricature of someone for the first time, just from memory? It's a real test of your observational skills. I tried to do Anderson Cooper, then I watched 360 last night to see what I missed. I kinda missed his expression,. He seems like a smart guy when you hear his questions, but he has this sort of stunned look, like he's not sure who put the suit on him and that is hard to capture. I'll work on it.

Yeah and yet the eyes are the same in each animal.

You should make a cartoon about paranoid conspiracy nuts. Then pit them against George Liquor: American. Just throwin' that out there.

P.S. - I love how George liquor finally evolves not from an ape, but a swordfish. In a tree. haha

I didn't know that you actually watched CNN, let alone Anderson Cooper. These drawings are still really cool.

That bottom drawing is evolution at its most wackiest, and no apes or chimps, either.

This is gonna be cool, it looks really fun! I like how you see that all the other animals looks like George.

I don't watch CNN so much so I don't know that person.
Caricaturs are really hard! But so fun to draw.

Dear Sir, Do goofy teeth, bulgy eyes, and a crew cut would give some sort of reproductive advantage in a cartoon world or they are merely vestigial in Mr. Liquor?

Wow, I must have missed any prior mention of this! Is this for DVD or the web or TV or the theaters or what? Wow, this is very exciting, I'd love to see any kind of George Liquor cartoon by you. Or Jimmy or Sody for that matter. Or Cigarettes the cat, or... you get the idea.

Hahahahahahahahahah! A duck, lobster, gazel, kangaroo with wings, sword fish in a tree, then George.

Man do religious fanatics get perturbed when you mention evolution. You can back it with as much scientifc evidence you want and they respond "I didn't come from no monkey!"

Anderson Cooper's birth mother is noneother than Gloria Vanderbilt. It will do little good to study contemporary images of her. Born in 1924, the current Ms. V is a walking bovine collagen restoration, with enough facial work to shame Michael Jackson.

Anderson Cooper, it turns out, resembles his late father:

LOL! The evolution part was already mentioned in the variety show pitch, and it's even more hilarious when actually drawn! You rule, John!

I think you did a pretty decent job on Anderson Cooper. It meets your two criteria of what a good caricature should be. It looks like the person and it's funny.

Hey, have you ever tried to draw the current Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper? I can tell you from from experience THE MAN IS BORING. He is litterally a block-head. One of the least exciting arrangement of human features ever. Here's my attempt at him. He's the one who's not an angry censor monkey. If you want to take a shot at him, here's a nice picture of him. Have fun.

You made him look kind of like a classic 50s news guy, like he's hanging out in the news commissary smoking 60 cigarettes a day with Edward R. Murrow and Eric Sevareid.

Still, that's great from memory. And I can't wait to see more of the evolution drawings/story!
