Improving with Practice

I am very impressed by the folks who encourage friendly critiques and allow me to help them to constantly improve.

David is one among the good ones, and he even has some of his own style that he brings to the drawings. I like it. He warms them up somehow.

Very nice work Dave! Those inks look really good.

Practice makes perfect.

Hey John,

What do you recommend to those of us who can't afford a decent tablet or Adobe Illustrator for inking?

Someone recommended Manga Studio 3.0 to me stating that it's mainly a vector-based inking program which is like Illustrator but simpler.

Ever heard of it?

I've attempted a few of these. Someone tear me apart, please.

Thank you. Inking the scenes is challenging, but a hell of a lot of fun.

Manga Studio is really neat. I started messing around with it a few months back, but haven't been back to it. The brushes are really nice, and the ability to rotate the canvas is brilliant. Adobe really needs to take note.
