I love the duck character...Are there any old blogs with him or about him? Will he interact with George. Wow, I am so stoked on this blog. I freakin hooked.

Yeah, I see what you mean. Will work on that ASAP.

Thanks!

Mongo, the duck character is Donald Bastard. He was created by Walt Dizzy. He is Jimmy's favorite cartoony-type character.

Meet Donald Bastard right now! Anyway, since these drawings are so funny without context, imagine how funny they will be WITH context! IMAGINE, EVERYONE! I SAID IMAGINE, DAMN YOU! WHY WONT YOU IMAGINE?!

Donald Bastard The Mallard! The nastiest noisiest nicotiniest waterfowl that ever happened in animation! Makes Howard The Duck look like a milquetoast malcontent. Damn funny, duck, John, a damn funny duck!

I love the duck and that rich asshole! And thanks also for the inking tips, John.

I just got my first tablet the other day and I've never used one. It's a Wacom Bamboo model MTE-450.

Anyone know where a fella can get some tips on how to jump from pen and paper to this high tech chicanery?

I wanna know what the grease on those napkins is from. What do animators eat to grow big, strong and creative!

Love the look of that rich swell in the last drawing.

These are great! I like raw scribbles like these more than finished inked art. ... and there's no end to cartoon duck gags.

Funny drawings, but how about having George Liqour grab that GM fatcat by his throat and ask him why they dont make a real mans car anymore?

They killed off the Trans am & Camaro and left the Ford Mustang with the field all to itself.

Smart one guys!...those were the only cars you made that were worth a damn.

(except the "vette, but its not within reach of the masses)

Now they are talking about re-introducing the Camaro again after all these years...but there will be NO Firebird or Trans am!

The Trans am and Firebird are television and movie icons...not the Camaro.

Tomorrow night at the El Capitan there will be a seven hour program dedicated to the filmic career of the beloved Donald Bastard. Oh, wait.

Hi John,
As usual this is a wonderful post on inking. What I'd like to see now is inking advice on inbetweens. Show us a small scene and break it down for us. Or merely an action will do. How would you ink a character that is running? I would love to see how you would place the thickest line weight on the shins and contracting muscle as opposed the upper thighs where the muscle flexes on a supporting leg where the line would be thinner. I would be great to see what that looks like in the Spumco Universe.
Um, that is if it isn't too much trouble. ^_^;;

Hi John,
I have a favor to ask: would you mind of I gathered all your posts on inking and posted them to my blog for my own use? It would be good have all the reference gathered on one space for future reference?
Lemmeno. I don't want to infringe on your copyright.

Hi John, here's where I plan to place the links and my first pass at a Sody clean up: Animatress Blog

BTW, do you mind if I ink the whole layout and put it through Flash? I would like to see if those lines wobble.

Hee John, I posted a new update again.

that second duck is pretty badass

I guess I am correct to assume the GM stands for "General Motors" since this show is sponsored by Pontiac.

Hey John

I posted some more drawings and put up a really nice inked and colored drawing for you.

Your duck character reminded me of the film Dirty Duck. I've spent all afternoon trying to forget again...

I'll be darned if that isn't a STOCK ANGRY EXPRESSION on that duck.

why does the duck have an upside down penis on his head?
