There are alot of subtlties to the inking; like the way the thickness of the lines around Stimpy's muzzle change during the sequence. Fun to watch all the distortions in slow motion- great choreography.
SImply amazing. I dont know why people dont like to make funny stuff. I take part recently in a animation competition, and Im really frustated, the great majority of the films are very serious and bored... WhY?? Why didn´t make animation just for fun?
YAY! Ren & Stimpy! YAY! One of my favorite cartoons from way back in "The Day."
Took me forever to figure out where I had heard the music used so prominently in "Stimpy's Big Day." I would hum it to people and ask them if they recognized it, and many of them did, but they could exactly say from where. SOMEHOW I eventually found out that the name of the tune was "Stop Gap," and it was from Bob Barker's "Truth or Consequences," which I used to watch as a kid.
Any idea when the "Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon" might be coming out on DVD? I've heard about it but never saw it. Frankly I never even HEARD about it until recently.

You are the inspiration that made me want to become an animator. Tell me though -- am I in for a world of pain? Are animators doomed to live a life of poverty and sadness?

Are these lines just the animator's clean-ups xeroxed or were the cels actually inked? If so, do you know what kind of brush?

Can anybody name a better smacking that was animated anywhere else?
These are just great. The act of smacking is taken to a delicate level of skill and flair here. I like how Stimpy eagerly anticipates teh first blow.
Wow
hahaha that's funny!
I like them with big pupils.
This is most informative scene break down yet. I never realized how specific the reactions were in this animation.
It's amazing how much care and effort was put into each individual frame. They aren't any "inbetweens", each works as a completely different drawing.

Beautiful beautiful inking! And some awesome Stimpy drawings in there. Even the inbetweens are great!
I loved how simply they were drawn in Big House Blues.

I wonder if you'll ever read this...

was the volume change intentional?
