This is really incredible. So many artists who draw McCain don't do it right. He really is tough! His jaw is so strange and asymmetrical. It's like in an Ed Benedict drawing where when a character turns, his body is an entirely new shape. It's impressive enough to draw him well, but to make a sculpture of him, and do it this well, is just amazing.
Chris used to crack me up by throwing tiny kneaded eraser critters he'd lovingly sculpted coated with spit & col-erase pencil over the top of the wall. They'd land on my drawings leaving little UN-erasable bug shaped stains effectively requiring redrawing or lots of white out. The bastard! He's gotten even better through the years.
Thanks, John, for the post on Irv Spence. I only got the chance to work under him for a brief while in my misspent youth but the lessons I learned have proven invaluable.
This is OT but McCain use to be more of a level headed person. Hell, I would have voted for him if he ran in 2000. Okay, maybe not then since I was only 13. Now, he is bending over backwards to be a "conservative".

That is amazing. I love what's been done so far.
Such weird funny cheeks, cool!
Sad thing is, that's the actual sizeof McCain's arms.
Are you going to make an Obama one?
Incredible! Any chance of getting to see the original drawing?
Are you gonna sell these?
For those who don't know the bulgy cheek is from surgery he had to remove a cancerous tumor.
It was then placed in one of Hillary's massive butt cheeks.

McCain?
Fantastic! The tumor cheek looks dead-on.

Incredible. If you release all these new toys, I'm going to have no money and an ass load of toys.
There is a hairline postsurgical scar on McCain's right cheek, visible only when the light hits it just right.
it looks like the best toy so far. Bravo.
Holy Shit, that is amazing. That sculpture completely captured his attitude and beliefs. That is a standard to shoot for.
Wow! Those trademark neckfolds in the rear view - great caricatures are even recognizable from the back.
You're a mensch, Chris!
Nice work, guys! I can't wait to buy this!
The picture with the red lines, are that adjustments?
Are you gonna adjust that on the same model or do you build a new model for that?
Im curious about the process.

Can these sculptors also draw?

I love the sculpture! I hope he doesn't win though. I've had it up to here already for the last 8 years with ham-fisted idiots.
