I love this sticker page!! Are those new drawings? They're super fun and the colors remind me of ice cream and candy and things cartoons should remind me of!
John, This is unrelated to this post, but I wanted to ask if you would do a review of Toy Story 3, if you've seen it. I always appreciate your perspectives, especially on cg stuff, and I'm sure many of your readers would be interested to hear what you have to say about the movie.
It is good, but it is not near the quality of Josie and the Pussiecats.
The years it must have taken, the countless drafts done to give the full gamut of expressions to each character. It makes the soul cry.
On a serious note, Bugs Bunny Nips the Nips offends my sensibilities less then Josie and the Pussiecats and the only reason this saw any success was peddling this pernicious product to impressionable kids.
Sorry to repeat but the cartoon needs it (since it is persona non grata for being released on even a lacklustre DVD), your opinion and evaluation of Bugs Bunny Nips the NIps.
Cartoon eye candy! Too bad everything has to cost money now. Money which I hardly ever have. Ugh.
What flavors do they come in? Strawberry, pistachio, cauliflower?
"I haven't see Toy Story 3 yet. It looks cute and cryworthy."
I think you'll be impressed by a lot of the animation. The incinerator scene was very well executed and even scared me. The villain (Lotso the Bear) is just another Stinky Pete, with a little bit more depth and personality to him. Overall, I liked the movie, and thought it was a good ending to the trilogy. The 3-D ticket is definitely worth paying for and does the movie some justice.
Manga Studio is an outstanding inking program provided you have a tablet. Yes, it's Japanese but there's no other software on the market that allows you to freehand draw with ink like this program does. The best thing is the "debut" version of the software is all you really need and it's only 50 bucks. The "EX" version which is like 400 bucks comes with ugly 3D rendering which no one here would bother with.
I'm totally picking one up for my lil' cousins- with a George Liquor shirt for me, of course. Also- I remember you said if someone donate or bought a drawing from you, you'd take a look at some of their studies. Any chance you are still up for that? I'm thinking about scanning a few in this week.
Inkscape looks an open source corel/illustrator option. There's nothing wrong with that, unless you want actually draw and "ink" with a tablet. Just because Manga Studio has "manga" in the title doesn't make it an unfit tool to do exactly that.
If it makes you feel any better, it's called "Comic Studio" in its native country.
Hey, John. Unrelated question here. Given that you're oldschool in animation and illustration tastes, I've always wondered what's your opinion on the art of Steve Purcell. Have you ever read the Sam & Max comics?

click the link to the Heartaches story at the bottom of the post.
I don't know of any free inking programs. Kali used Illustrator to ink the drawings and the ad.

The drawing of Roxy and Shan in the top page over the stickers is fantastic.

Awesome! I just ordered mine :) .
I love Spumco products. I would love it if you started releasing your paint kits again. And ANY art supplies. Those are awesome and fun.

if your looking for free ink programs theres something called Sketch Book Pro on trial by the Autodesk guys. Never used it myself. Worth a look.

the best free inking program is Inkscape. forget any program that has the word "manga" in my opinion, that is
whoa cool.
I want to put these on my backpack...but then the kids at my school would call me a "faggot".
But they're soooooooo cute!
These are great!
Oh God I want some! How much is 6 Bucks in New Zealand money?

Oh and also, did you keep calling them the "principal heartache characters" because of that Looney Tune ad?

I cant access your online store.
Maybe it is some adblock issue or users outside US get blocked...
I bought the stickers.
Does this mean we can see more cartoon fun?
Not to do with whatever this post is.
But heres a handy resource for you

So many excellent / hilarious heads. Quite often with shots showing how they've grown up.
they should make more stickers like these, ones with principles, good work!
Next we should get an actual Curly Fuzz Poodle pull-string doll. That'd be so cool.
The stickers have been placed around my room.
Now, I hope my $8.50 will have convinced you that we need more Heartaches storyboard-comic-things.
Thanks!
Take a picture of your wall and put up a link.
I'll use it in my next ad.
Your pal,
John
