Hey
I am sure you get this a lot, but - is your tenstep animation lesson still going? I'd love to hear your advice. I am 19, and studying a degree in animation in newport, wales... its focus is more on the cinematic, which is great, but I really want to get solid with the fundamentals so to speak...Not to say I wont do your lessons without your advice but it'd be amazing to have such a good incentive to start.

You did a strip today, and I did an animation, Go figure! I'd be interested in your take on the top three, the crooked quiz and all that if you find time.

Wow...Can you imagine meeting someone who thought they were a window shade? Gotta give Milt originality points on that one.

Wow! Milt Gross and Dan Gordon (I didn't even know he drew Milt Gross characters, and he draws the style very well)...in the same post! They happen to be two of my favorite cartoonists, especially Gross, since his drawings are so cartoony (though I like Gordon's funny animal comics).

Thanks, Sherm (nice blog, BTW)!

I don't speak english, i'm sorry for that, and i ask you to draw me an ugly monkey like the one i use as avatar, 'cos i will put it in my page next monday.

The drawings are great and really full of character but what do you think of the colouring?

off-topic, but I think this Disney fan art by Hitler might be of interest:

Hi John!

can you tell us what are the links we could make with his comics and his two movies: "Jitterbug Follies" and "Wanted no Master"?

did he applied the same principles in composition and design?

Your friend,
Guilherme

Regarding the Hitler comics: Though I am wary of forgery, I note these characters have the life stripped right out of them. That was a skill of Hitler's.

John K - where can one contact you about work you are currently involved in? And where can I get in touch with Ms. Radford? And how the hell are you?

Hey, John...I'm glad you were digging this comic! I just posted a newly-unearthed Milt Gross comic book story from a 1948 issue of The Kilroys...you're really gonna like it. Its at http://cartoonsnap.blogspot.com/2008/03/count-screwloose-vs-harry-hoople-snake.html

Thanks for the daily inspiration! --Sherm
