That evolution illustration is freakin hilarious!!! All the creatures even have the George Haircut!!! Amazing...I laughed out load (at work) like an idiot.
If the whole point is that George is outraged by the idea that he is related to apes and monkeys. Shouldn’t we see at least a goofy "George" ape or a monkey in the spread?

Is this intended as a show episode or a Little Golden Book? Because it seems like it would work perfectly well as a LGB...
It's always embarrasing to laugh out a load at work. Especially if you don't have a change of clothes.
(not trying to ridicule the little typing mistake, just couldn't resist...)
The deer coming out of the water before the croc is so funny.
If George saw a photo of scientists, would they look like devils with pitchforks?
Ha! I knew my "primordial duck" theory was correct! Great stuff.
Is he (George) meaner than Unca Donald? I dunno, those duck nephews took some pretty bad abuse...
This looks like a great story. Look forward to seeing the rest.
George The Platypus would be nice too!
I absolutely love this! Can't wait to see the next part! Is he gonna flip out? I bet he's gonna flip out XD
Jim Smith Presents the George Liquor Program?
Not John K?
George's reaction to the book is hilarious!
The evolution spread is amazing.
Ahhahahaha! That's a great illustration! I love it where reality looks different depending on whose perspective we are seeing things from.
Ha, Jim's still funny, good.
ought to be a great show. And picking up the goddamn kids from school, whatta guy.
I would love to see the Idiot Farm, that sounds like a fun place, like the special olympics without all that running around.
Very funny. Would the two page illustration be animated in the actual cartoon?

BRILLIANT! You've posted the story before, but these drawings were NEW. Jim Smith's evolution was epic.
