Excellent! These are my favorite. I bookmarked the "caricatures vs undertures" post. I'm a caricature artist discontent with the state of caricatures today. Seems like everyone is imitating someone who is better and more famous. One of the reasons I read your blog is because you stress fundamentals and skill over superficial design and blandness. I love your caricatures because they are funny. The things you said about some animators/cartoonists drawing realistic to get respect as "real" artists goes for caricature artists too, and some just exaggerate for no good reason. It's something I'm working on getting rid of in me. No pretentiousness, just fun. Can't wait to read more of your theories on caricatures.
caricatures huh? i was wondering if you have ever heard of a Manning Hall. he was my grandpa. big back in the day in hollywood. he wrote/illustrated a book called "Making Faces". just wondering. thanks for your teachings!

vh, If they're exaggerating for "no good reason" maybe it's just for the pure fun of drawing? How bout that?
