Spinning head antic...

The end.

Barq's Root Beer Is Good For The Ear

You're violating the sanctity of the characters' bodies. Also, how does the hot dog FEEL about his living conditions?

JohnK said...

Hey Jorge,

we need to know the Hotdog's upbringing to answer that.

maybe you can help out.

Maybe he was abused when he was a little cocktail weiner?

Haha, "abused weiner"

"Haha, 'abused weiner'".

It's funny because it's probably true.

Waitaminute - that was the whole commercial? It went so fast I couldn't see the product! All it needs is the Barqs logo at the end, maybe with just George's voice shouting "BAAAAARQS!!!!" and the screen shaking. How come nobody thought of that?

Hi Zoran

it says "Barg's" on the can. There are 2 more posts with more animation, but yeah the whole animated bit is only 5 seconds long.

It's part of a longer 30 second spot that has live action and other animation in it.

Commercials have a tendency to try to cram too much stuff in them.

I wish they had just given us the whole 30 seconds. Then we could have written a couple sub-plots in.

I'm sure every male on this blog has abused their weiner.

Mike F. am I right?

Back to the seriousness of the post. I agree, root beer should definitely be considered as a new earache medicine.

What would 30-sec subplots be like? I could imagine, Jimmy gets taken by baboons, and George gets the kids and Barq's to help. Oh the early nineties were amazing.

John, maybe the wiener is torn between marrying Jimmy's antitragus and his lobe.

Maybe his mother was a Vienna sausage from an orifice on the other side of Jimmy's body. She didn't attend the same place of worship as him, he's a "half-breed."

Maybe he's sad he didn't grow up to be an optimistic Wurst.

Either way, I feel sorry for the little `furter.

I asked because even on youtube it's just the five-second version, so I assumed that sorta had to be the whole ad. But I guess the guy who posted it was a big fan of yours, so they said "who cares about the rest of the ad?" and snipped it off.

Can I ask what you mean by "hook up", John?

Also, I'm interested in your decisions to use your already established characters in commericials/music videos. Do you care to elaborate?

And Kali: you are correct.
