Here's some presentation art in progress:

And some essential materials...

Here's how I start 'em. Then I hand 'em over to the youngins like Kali to color them up all fancy-ass.
You gotta have muticultural diversity flesh crayons or don't even think of trying be creative.

I wonder what kinda people have pure red skin? Send me a picture if you know one.

Hey Ryan- I used Prismacolors too- just not as many- mostly charpaks, trias and Copic sketch markers!
Can't wait to experiment with that glitter crap! WHOO-HOO!
I was looking for this pic of this guy with some genetic disorder who'd all red, but I gave up. Someone should go find it.
THEY ARE ALIVE!!!! Its amazing how she knows to managge color. Espectacular.
woot woot JOHN! that's some freakin' amazing drawings right there, as usual:P...
Now I need answers dude! I've been looking around the net to find some informations about you're H-B cartoons you did in the late 90's, boo boo runs wild an so on... I would really appreciate if you could tell me how, or where I'd be able to watch those toons, or maybe you could sell me a copy of'em, cause i'm dying to see them...
would really appreciate it

You might have get pure red from a bad sunburn?
I thought the glitter glue was a put-on, then I saw the "multicultural" pencils.
Sheesh.
hahah crayola glitter glue. it just goes to show you, you don't need the props to have talent.
I'm lovin' this presentation art.
Maybe the red is to draw tongues. Or blood. You have to draw your friends, even if they're bleeding to death.
That aside, a lot of people do have reddish or pinkish complexions.
I have some distant relatives...
When's the pitch? If it hasn't happened yet, best of luck!

Where were the pencils used?
These great drawings combined with skilled and creative colouring beats any digital ink & paint.
Good good stuff, John! Love that duck, he's got Goofy's hat and Mickey Mouse's pants.
Red skin = very fair skin + very bad sunburn
My god, multicultural diversity colouring pencils...!? XD Guess I can't use pure purple, green and russet in my portraits anymore...
Please direct us to a stockist!

If the same level of skill was applied using digital ink and paint you'd get an image that looks just as good(or even better on a computer since it wouldn't have to be filtered through a camera or scanner)
Donald Bastard. Arf!
Ryan, do you know of any examples of digital painting (and if possible techniques) that have a rich texture to them and doesn't appear artificial because of (I'm assuming) mathematical precision? I like the fact that digital painting allows for layers and masks and unlimited editing but I've never seen a digital painting that didn't remind me that it was created on a computer. I maybe not looking hard enough.
I've been looking at the composition of the Duck Bastard picture. This is some of the things that I think are occurring in it:
The line of action of the two boys points to Duck Bastard (his is mostly vertical). The white space echos on both sides so it loops. The cigarette smoke splits off the white space into two negative shapes but doesn't completely split the white space in two. The perspective of the ground and the mat points to Duck Bastard. The smoke frames the picture so your eyes don't leak off into space.
Maroon langurs are extremely close to having red fur. A lot of monkeys sport wild hairdos and colors-the gothpunkemo kids on Myspace are put to shame by the natural brilliance of our ancestors.
monkey
eveland indians logo had pure red skin, didnt it?
